Have you ever been told you have a natural talent with something?

I write alot of song lyrics its normal for me to just get a tune in my head then start putting words to those tunes, Im always getting asked "how do you do it" LoL everything just comes to me, they act as if its really hard to do and maybe it is but I dont see that, and so then I sing my songs that I've written and get told you should be a singer but I dont think I sound that good and I dont see that either

8) never say never hehe! I think if your husband says you should become A writer and it's something you want to do you should consider trying it, you never know I mean what have you got to lose.. Im sure you'll get your husbands support 100% too!! I read that you have trouble finishing what you've started, I also get like that sometimes I find that if I just have a breather and go back to it later my minds had time to clear and its not all cluttered anymore, wish you all the best!

I think that sort of thing is amazing. I can never seem to get something like that to work for me, but I do love to sing. :)

I've been told, often, that I have a natural talent with being an artist and I've tried to do something with that to no avail. Other than that, few people say I have a talent to do anything else.

I've been told I'm a great writer too but I don't see it. People tell me I have a way with words that other people do not. I think my poetry is pretty good but I don't think my fiction pieces are anything to swoon over.

I just love writing, my husband is the one who thinks it's good. I guess it's all a matter of what you love doing.

I have a friend who's a beautiful artist. I love looking at drawing, mostly because that is one talent I definitely don't have.

Ive been told all my life that I have a special talent for writing (I started my first journal at 7) I took a journalism course in college that helped me fine tune my skill but I feel and will always feel that my writing talent, the true talent of it comes out from whats already inside me.

No one ever has told me that I have a talent that I just really cannot see. I've had people tell me I should be a photographer before. And while I can see it, I just don't see myself making enough money doing that. I'd like photography to stay fun for me so I just keep it as a hobby.
I have wondered about that though before. Like if I was talented at something I didn't like doing, if I would do it just because I was talented. Like sports (which I'm definitely not talented at). I couldn't see myself playing sports even if I was good, but maybe I would for all the money athletes can make.

Everyone in my family and who I have come across online have said that I have a knack for writing. I don't believe it, though. It's enough to motivate to write very day, but I don't feel confident about my work. I see my work differently, I guess. I just wish I had chosen my talent instead of having it come to me.
