Do you discriminate? You might not know it. What do you think?

Discrimination is around us. It goes on all of the time. Some might not see it that way. But it is. There are 3 tasks in the photo. 1 is the sidewalk. 2 is the wall. 3 is the planting and design of the shrubs against the house. Each are numbered. All you have to do is pick male or female. Don't forget to explain why you think it was. I have a simple question for everyone. Was this work done by a male or a female? Please explain why.

if i'm discriminating and i might not know it.. should it even be called discrimination at all? because fact is, you don't know. anyway, at least the difference is if a person intends to hurt somebody then he has done something wrong and he should know that. If a person never intended to hurt anybody but unconsciously he did, then i call it a mistake, and everybody makes mistakes, and when they realize it, it's up to them to do something about it. to change it. discrimination is something that's happening everyday, everywhere, every moment. and we can't blame anybody for that because we have been raised in a world full of norms, culture, religion and standards. i believe though that if you know that people are wrong about you, you don't go wining about it like a kid. You prove yourself, and it's one noble thing, to turn some beliefs around. and i wish everybody good luck for that =p

So your answers are? To your response. Discrimination through ignorance is discrimination. If someone is driving drunk and kills someone it is a mistake? Since its just a mistake they should apologize and everything is back to normal. Thank you for reading my discussion and participating.

Many of us find ourselves discriminating without realizing it. I would think that the walk itself was done by a male. I'm not sure about the wall, but probably male. The reason is it seems that construction jobs tend to be associated with men taking care of that. The shrubs, I cannot say, but I lean slightly towards female. It seems that more women are into gardening than males, but landscaping - tending to shrubs & bushes, it seems that males take care of that more often than females. In today's day & age, females do get into construction work, & at the same time, men have gotten into gardening. This means that I might actually have guessed wrong on some, or on all of them.

Thank you for your response. My girlfriend did the sidewalk. I showed her how. She also raised the ground level at the end of the walk and added sod that I removed from the area with the rock mulch. I built the wall while my girlfriend was building the sidewalk. The shrubs and design are by a female. She asked me about removing their shrubs and redoing everything the 1st year I started my landscaping company. Then decided to do it herself 4 years later. This is a client's house, not mine. They are selling the house and had me take up the sidewalk and put it at their new house. LOL
