Someone on my friend list has recently had 3 different discussions deleted. Would you send this friend a private message explaining why you didn't post a response to all 3 discussions or leave it alone? I have no idea if myLot notifies the member their discussions have been deleted. Hopefully this discussion won't be deleted but I might figure it out if I get zero responses. Thanks and have a great holiday weekend, carolbee

Maybe this is something we can confront myLot about and see if they will make a change in deleting discussions. If a member's discussion gets deleted, it would be nice if myLot would notify this member. I've been a member for awhile and I don't know and understand all the guidelines. Thanks for responding.

One of my disscussion has been deleted, because there is a referal link in it. And there is no notify sending to me telling that. But I can find my topic disappeared and my earning reduced. It seems myLot will reduce all the earning you make that day no matter it debate the guidline or not, and the fit guildline response earning will be added back the next day. The no response topic seems still be in myLot, and is not deleted, but you can not search it out.

I have in the past had a reduction in earnings but didn't think it was from one of the discussions I started. Thought it was from another deleted discussion where I responded. I've never tried to search out any of my discussions. Thanks so much for responding.

That would be the best thing to do, I myself has done that to my fellow mylottians too. I would guide them, so they won't experience any deletions to avoid their earnings and ratings to go down. Plus, I would also have more options on which discussions to respond at without even worrying that it might get deleted.

This member is really just starting out and I would hate for her to think her discussions are not good when in fact they were deleted by myLot so probably outside the guidelines. Thanks for responding.

There is no notification but for people who check their discussions from time to time it is easy to understand why the discussion was deleted so you need not explain anything. As for me I rarely check my old discussions.

As I mentioned in an earlier response to this discussion, it would be helpful if myLot notified the member why their discussion was being deleted. I don't understand or know all the guidelines. I will take your advice. Thanks for responding.

I pretty much do the same thing if I have nothing to offer to a discussion. Thanks for responding.

I was not even aware that a discussion gets deleted if theer are no responses. Thanks for the information. This is what makes mylot.com a great pleasure. We will get to know things somehow or the other. Is there a time limit given?

Not every discussion gets deleted if there are no responses. I tried to respond to this person's discussions but they were deleted. Wonder if she will know something is not right if she doesn't get any responses. Thanks for responding.

I don't know if anyone gets a message saying that their discussion has been deleted but I would be inclined to leave well alone and not send a message.

I am not one to nose into someone's business but this friend is relatively new and wouldn't want her to think I am ignoring her discussions. I didn't think myLot notified the member if their discussion was deleted. Thanks for responding.

The discussions were about earnings and I really see no reason for myLot to delete them but guess that's life! I haven't pm'd the member on my friend list and probably won't at this point. Thanks for responding.

For a discussion to be deleted it must have violated the guidelines, maybe for including a referral link in the opening discussion post. You could send her a message suggesting she reads the myLot guidelines carefully before she starts any more discussions. Members are not notified when their discussions or responses are deleted, but their earnings will be reduced when the posts are removed. If you had responded to the discussion before it was deleted your earnings would have been reduced as well.

Thanks for the great explanation. I tried to respond to the discussion a few days after it was posted and couldn't. I have had it happen where I responded to a discussion, it was deleted and my earnings dropped. Guess myLot has to do what they have to do! Thanks for responding.

I do not understand why this happens? Could it be that the duscussions are not relivent to anything in particular! I realy have no idea? I would just leave it and not send a message there is not much you can say or do is there?

When a discussion falls outside the myLot guidelines, they delete it. Usually it has to do with earnings on myLot. This is strictly my observation. Thanks for responding.

If any of your discussion will get deleted means, that discussion may be raised only against the mylot guidences. If you raise the dicussion or if you respond the others discussion, which has been raised against the mylot guidelines, in this situation also your discussion/your response will get deleted, along with the discussion, when it get deleted.. There is no other chance is there to delete your disucssion / your responses in mylot, according to me..

Yep, I believe his/her discussions were against the guidelines. I can only assume she found out when she didn't receive any responses to the discussions. Thanks for responding.

Actually Mylot will delete the discussion/Responses, which may be against the the mylot guidelines. If you raise the discussion anything against the mylot guidelines, and also if you received so many responses the same discussion will get deleted along with all the responses what ever you received against the said discussion. Like that if you respond any of the discussion knowlingly or unknowingly the discussion is against the mylot guidelines, in this case also, when the discussion got deleted, you responses will also get deleted along with.

The member is relatively new and didn't want this person to think nobody wanted to respond to his/her discussions. Thanks for your good explanation and response.
