I's America ready for a African American president?

It seem's like everyday I turn on the news I hear the same thing, I's America ready for a black president. Personally I dont think it really matters, the current president we have now(Bush) is white and he's not doing so good. Color should not be an issue in the presidential race and it will not be an issue with me. If we choose are future leaders based on color it proves the country has not changed since the civil rights movement and it also proves that we have along way to go. Please write me back, I'm looking forward to hearing what everyone thinks.
