Anybody fancy coming to bed

I need a nap today. I was up fairly early (for me) and it is all catching up with me. When I was ill last year I had an afternoon sleep almost every day. Just an hour or two, but it was enough to set me up for the rest of the day. Recently, I have had those feelings again. Tiredness in the mid afternoon. So I'll see you later. Anyone fancy coming along as well?

Well, when you say "fancy" like that...how can a girl resist? Besides, I have a bad cold and could use some sleep myself! I'm in!!!

I have an afternoon nap every day. So as long as you don't snore I'll have a nap at the same time.

I don't snore so it must have been you and you stole the blankets.

I didn't snore so it must have been you. You always do and blame it on me. But the nap was good wasn't it?

It's already night time here, like you, I also woke up early. I was really about to take an afternoon nap too (they call it siesta, in Spanish and also here in our place), but something got along the way. My sleepy head has disappeared, now I am again waiting and hoping that this time I'd get my good night's rest..

Pikey, I take a nap quite often... especially if my night has been a very short one. I think all of your ladies here keep you up way to late... I suppose we should be better friends and Follow MO's example and tuck you in. However I do not think you would sleep much if all of us gather at your bedside to tuck our fish in for the night... heck I know you would not sleep much.

The thought of my "girls" tucking me up is almost more fantasy than I could bear. What luscious dreams I should have.

Child care, own bed - this isn't the Hilton. LOL. But I do have an old crib that you could both squeeze into Sissy. Or you could have my daughter's bed, you get your own room that way. At least you wouldn't get all the snoring. Haha.

I took an afternoon nap yesterday after I picked up my son early from school as he had a headache. We both fell asleep for a couple of hours. Was nice but I found it hard to go to bed last night. I might just skip it today, thanks lol Enjoy your nap P1ke!

I have had that problem in the past, but I find that as I get older I sleep better at night. Which seems a little bizarre because I always thought that it was the reverse.

You are settling in for your midafternoon nap and I have only been awake for 2 hours. I guess my 3 PM nap would be what should be your bedtime if you didn't take your nap. You go on without me. Just keep me in your dreams

Well I expect you have awoken from your afternoon nap by now so I hope you enjoyed. I don't see any reason why not to have a nap, we are supposed to be European anyway and they have a siesta so why can't we? I quite often have a Sunday afternoon kip after I've had dinner and watched the racing but it is not normal weekdays unless I am extremely tired. Ellie :D

I love those weekend naps. We often go off on a sunday afternoon (unless there's a GP). Our daughter thinks it so that we can "re-light the fire". She's deluded I am afraid. We like the sleep. LOL. Sad old people.

If it's a feather bed with a down blanket, because I feel chilly today, I'll join the rest of the nappers. I was up very early myself.

I'd like a nap but if I venture back to bed now, it will mess up everything that I need to do today. I need to worry about doing what my partner came over to do. She's napping right now but I suspect she'll hopefully be up before too long so I do not get too tempted to take a nap.

Hi Pike...count me in mate. I love my afternoon naps and have since I was a grown up. I like 2 hours and I sometimes think it's the best sleep I get. I don't always get 2 hours though. My friend usually pops over no matter that I get really curt with him about my naps. The dog usually takes the opportunity to have a bark fest then as well. Oh well, c'est la vie.

I think I know what you mean...even though you slept, you were not soothed or relaxed. That must be awful. If I'm disturbed or fully woken from my afternoon nap, I get very emotional as though I'm desperately tired and need to sleep very badly but that's not the case, not the reality, though it feels like it is in my mind.

When I was ill I really got into my afternoon naps. They perked me up for the rest of the day. I slept well, but not restfully if that makes sense. I hate them to be interrupted.

Well, I'm definitely up for some cuddling, but my day is too busy to even consider taking a nap, p1key. I've never been much of a napper anyway, honestly. I always feel that I'm going to miss something if I take a nap. But, listen, if you feel like you need one, then, by all means, go and have a lie down! You're still regaining your strength, in many ways, p1ke, and if your body tells you that you need a nap, then go take one. After all, you're going to want to be refreshed and rested a bit later on this evening, aren't you?

There is one stipulation....I will go as long as Graham can go too....im not usually into threesomes but given this once I will put my standards aside and go for it.I hope the sheets are flannelette, and I like three pillows..I do snore...but you may put a tennis ball in the neck of my nighty if you so wish .I do like a bedtime story...Brer Rabbit is a good one...and when I wake from my gentle slumber I like a cup of tea.hot and sweet......OH...and a jam doughnut if you have one.
@p1kef1sh (45681)

Of course he can come too. This is about napping Ruby. I hope that you aren't trying to lead me astray. LOL. Brer Rabbit is fine and tea and doughnut too. I've got one on this plate - oh, I mean I have the crumbs where one has been here. Sorry.
