There are many famous and ancient buildings in my country. And I think the most famous one is the Great Wall. It's a wonder which built by human beings. Even it can be seen from outspace.

oh yes! for a natural wonder rather than a man made building - the grand canyon is really known - as is niagara falls... or the grand tetons! such a big country with so many wondrous things.

The current most famous building in my country which happens to be the Philippines is The SM Mall of Asia which is the the largest shopping mall in the Philippines and is the third largest shopping mall in the world in terms of Gross Leasable Area according to the Forbes Magazine, after the South Dounggan Mall (China) and Golden Resources Mall (China). It was opened on May 21, 2006 but it was supposed to be opened earlier than that in fact it should have been opened after or during Christmas time back in 2005 if I'm not mistaken. Unfortunately, there was an incident that postponed its opening.

You definitely won't miss it because it is located right at the capital of our country and if you enjoy ice skating you will definitely enjoy its Olympic size ice skating rink.

Living in the UK we have numerous famous buildings! Buckingham Palace naturally is one of the most famous, in London, The Tower of London, St.Paul's Cathedral, Big Ben and the houses of parliament! Great tourist attractions that has millions of visitors each year from all around the year. I guess I am lucky in that I only live about 30km from the city centre.

Yeah, I could say there are numerous of famous historical building in your country. Though I had visited china several times I still couldn’t have the opportunity to visit many attractive buildings even they were so near to the hotel we stayed as there were so many them for us to visit but time was limited. Well, I did visit the great wall before and it is one of the most magnificent buildings in the world which could see with human’s eyes from the moon. This was proved by the astronauts when they landed there in the year of 1969. The Pretronas Twin Towers is the most famous building in my country. The 452 meters high building is situated in the center part of the capital city of Kuala Lumpur. There is also a symphonic concert hall at the podium between the twin towers. An interactive petroleum science discovery centre, and an international class art gallery are in the adjoining Suria KLCC Mall. Many local students visit the science discovery centre to learn the knowledge related to the petroleum in our country. There are lots of tourists visiting the building daily. The building is famous of its unique and wonderful construction and this attracts many visitors to take photos in front of it day and night.

The White House - The White House in D.C.
Unfortunately the most famous buildings are no longer here, The Twin World Trade Towers in New York.Everyone knows of them.I guess running second is the White House, where the president lives.

I would say in the United States it would probably have to be The Statue of Liberty. When the legal immigrants came years ago from other countries to Ellis Island. The first thing that they saw on american soil was the Statue of Liberty. And to this day that statue represents freedom to many people.

Victoria Memorial - Rear view of Victoria Memorial
The Taj Mahal should obviously be the most famous building .Then there are few forts in Delhi and many palaces. Recently I had been to Kolkata and I visited the place. Victoria Memorial Though this is not the most famous it is a tourist attraction. I was stunned by some of the paintings that I had the fortune to see here. Iam postig a photograph of the building and have given you the link also..You can get to know more about this. The Victoria Memorial, located in Kolkata, India is a memorial of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom who also carried the title of Empress of India. It currently serves as a museum and a tourist attraction. It is a majestic white marble building http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victoria_Memorial_ (India) Today, Victoria memorial is one of the finest art museums in Kolkata. It is a 184 ft tall edifice that was constructed on 64 acres of land. The museum houses a group of mind-blowing figures above the north porch that epitomize prudence, learning and motherhood.-- http://www.kolkata.org.uk/tourist-attractions/victoria-memorial.html

the great wall is famous everywhere, isn't it? I guess the most famous building for us would be the White House or the Empire State building... of course after the 911 incident I suppose the twin towers (trade center) are most famous, but they are not longer there so I can not mention them. The most famous artifact would probably be the declaration of independance or the liberty bell. The most famous statuary is likely the statue of liberty

My country doesn't have sky scrappers... so i cannot think of any famous ancient or modern building... but i don't think that is something to really worry about... since we are famous for other things... like having friendly people... and and most of my countrymen are very good in English... I dream of going to China to see the Great Wall... i hope someday that dream will turn into a reality...

Hi youless! Yes, I absolutely agree that the Great Wall of China is really an amazing thing that has ever been built by man and it can be seen from outer space. I hope to see it one day for real! Here in our country, we have a lot of beautiful and historical buildings and architectures. It boasts of Filipino craftmanship. It can be seen in all of our Old churches, museums and national buildings. And one example is Fort Santiago. Fort Santiago is a defense fortress built when our country was under the Spanish regime. The fort is part of the structures of the walled city of Intramuros, in Manila, Philippines. The location of Fort Santiago was also once the site of the palace and kingdom of Rajah Suliman, chieftain of Manila of pre-Spanish era. It was destroyed by the Spaniards upon arriving in 1570, encountering several bloody battles with the Muslims and native Tagalogs. The Spaniards destroyed the native settlements and erected Fort Santiago in 1571. Take Care and God Bless! Happy Mylotting!

I would say that the most famous building in the United States would be the Empire State Building. It is no longer the tallest building in this country, but it's name is synonymous with the United States and New York. Second to that would be the Statue of Liberty. I would bet that most people who live outside the United States would know what those two buildings were if you were to mention them.
