On the first date...

So presumably we've all had these.... First dates. Usually the source of anxiety, excitement or plain fear?! well I went on a first date on Monday, and for once I have to admit that I wasn't that anxious at all! I've been friends with this guy for a while now, but we've never spoken properly or really spent time together. So, we met up in a bar, and I wasn't sure how it'd go - though I was very sure I waned it to go well! Anyway we spoke continously for the whole 6 hour date, which I took as a good sign :) What do you look out for on dates? How do you tell if its gone well or not? I felt really comfortable with him, and I was sure the feelings were mutual. I went home a very happy bunny, I can tell you! On previous first dates I've been more nervous and have usualy opted to go to the cinema or do something distracting to ensure we don't get bored. What about you? Where would you usually go? And how would it make you feel? What would you say was your best first date ever?

i find it exciting and I get a bit anxious too coz this is where you usually start to make the first impression. I like to start a real good conversation with the guy and talk as if we're buddies. It's amazing to discover your common interest which you can talk about endlessly without getting bored or exerting much effort to keep the conversation going on. i find it interesting when you find easy to get along and talk about anything under the sun spontaneously. One of the best dates I had was with this guy who's currently working overseas. During his vacation here in Phil, we dined out, went singing and went nature tripping. I'm looking forward to see him again by his next vacation here in Phil.

all i want in a date is a good conversation too. so the movies are not my thing. it just distracts me. the point is i'm on a date to get to know somebody, and that's what i'm gonna do. anyway, if he ends up not liking me then i can't do anything about it. the important thing is to never lie about yourself because in the end, what you've told him about you was not you at all so in a date, i prefer to be cool, and to be myself.
