What are your plans for the weekend?

In the U.S. it is Memorial Day weekend, which is for most of us the official kick off to summer!
It finally stopped raining and we're supposed to have some nice weather so I am very excited!
My brother came in yesterday from out of town and I just learned my cousin is visiting this weekend also. She has a 9 month old baby I haven't met yet so I can't wait to see her!
I think we'll have to get some hamburgers going on the grill!
Do you do anything special to kick off the summer? Any Memorial Day plans? If you live somewhere that doesn't have Memorial Day, feel free to just share what you hope to do this weekend :)

I plan to do a lot of hiking in the mountains, we already did the hot dog/hamburger thing on Sat. I'll try and find a Memorial Day parade to attend with my family. I want my kids to know the importance of those who served and still do today.

I'm not planning on doing anything special. It's just another weekend for me. I'll probably finish cleaning everything up, wash some laundry, pick up some things and try to get our other computer up and running on our wireless network.

well, we didn't have any plans but our plans from last weekend got moved to this weekend so now we do. last weekend we were going to have a birthday picnic at my moms because my birthday was the 16th and my sisters was the 18th. but my mom got a head cold so we moved it to this weekend. so sunday my husband is going to help my dad do something under their house and then we are going to have a picnic. the weather is finally warming up again so it should be nice. then monday since my husband is off we've talked about going to the local ski resort. they have chairlift rides that take you on a sceanic ride of the resort.

Hello vera,
We were planning to have some BBQ in my inlaws but something occur in the house, we need to fix our shower since the faucet started to flow and we can't stop it,LOL, my hubby needs to fix and change all the materials...So we cancel it out! maybe on Monday, just eat out!

oh no, what a mess! hopefully you can still enjoy the weekend! Our today had most of the plans changed thanks to us thinking we could fix our brakes on the car ourselves in about 20 minutes...apparently though they made it so our car can only be worked on by a mechanic because of a special tool that's needed :(
