Hey, I had this bad experiences when I was young. It's kinda shame to share, but i'll share anyway.
I think I had such experiences not once, but around 5 times. All of it happened when I riding a bicycle! So bad luck, isn't it?
Now, I have overcome it!!! Yeah!!

Oh my Goodness!!! Yes! This is the exact reason why I'm afraid of dogs even up to now. I can't forget one where I almost got hit by cars while running away from a dog. I can see it in its eyes that it really wants a piece of me. It happened around 15-16 years ago, I think. And up to now, I can handle them better. Except when I ride my bike. I hate it and I, most of the time, get scared when they start to fixate on me.

Ahaha. Ditto. I wanted to ask them as well. All I got was "woof, woof!" Well, I heard somewhere that they can sense if you are tense. I'm not sure though. The smell?? They can somehow feel that you are scared and that's when they charge.

Strange! The same event repeated with me. I went out to buy medicines for my neighbor at late night - there was nobody in the street, and we were riding on our bicycle. Suddenly street dogs started shouting at us, and eventually started to chase us. It was terrific. But fortunately they kept their enthusiasm limited within a die-hard chase!

I was trapped on top of my neighbor's old clothes dryer, which was on her back porch by another neighbor's dog for almost an hour before the owner came home. My husband was taking a nap so he didn't hear me screaming and no one else was around. When the owner came home she called the drooling beast and yelled over to me, "Oh he won't bite." Well, he did a pretty darned good impersonation of a dog who would bite while he had me pinned.
