I'm not a doctor of course, but I have a large amount of food allergies. And it could go two ways stay the same or get worse -- my allergies are because my immune system thinks that what I'm eating is bad for me, so it overreacts, drops my blood pressure and closes my throat. If you keep exposing yourself, theres the chance that the reaction could get worse over time.
I haven't consumed egg products in 20 years. So if I ate a piece of cake made with egg now, theres a great chance I won't react. However, with repeated exposure, the allergy could come back full force. I'm not willing to take that chance :)
I love chocolate, but I'm restricted as to how much I can eat because of the egg thing. A good chocolate bar always brightens my day, though.

I don' thik that the MyLot community can really answer this question for you (the one about allergies) unless a qualified doctor happens to be a member of the community, and has this down as an interest.
I will say his, though. I love chocolate, and can never get enough of it.
