I don't know how many of you have seat belt laws in your state but mine does. I Have seen the commercial of a police officer pulling over a car for speeding and giveing him a ticket for also not buckleing up. I think this is a good commercial for drivers for most of us don't wear seat belts and we should to better protect our selves. I don't drive but always put mine on when getting into someone's car. I was just wanting to know how many of you actually make that first move of reaching for your seat belt and makeing that click befor you leave to where ever it is your going? I had a friend try to argue w/ the officer over the ticket he was given for he was not wearing his at the time. he lost for it's the law and he didn't follow the law by simply putting it on.

i absolutely agree with this law. in fact where im living now all passengers must have thier belts on or the driver gets a ticket. but where i lived before only the driver and front passenger had to have it on. i think they should change that. i always wear my seat belt and if i ever drive i will make it my policy that all passengers, front or back, must have thier seatbelts on or the car doesnt start.

I'm glad to hear that you stick to what the law enforces and all the others that get in to your car. It is very important for you never know what could happen or when. They put the belts in the cars for a reason. Your right that they should also make the ones in the back wear one as well not just the front passengers. Thanks for your response and take care.

I always use the seatbelt. I would feel wrong without it. And I won't take anybody with me in a car, if they refuse to buckle up.

Smart choice on your behalf. I think more people are starting to become aware of this and see what it does to one that dosn't buckle up. It takes two second to do it and it's not worth the ticket for not doing so. Thanks for your response and take care.

Its a state law here as well. I do not though make it the very first thing I do. Habitually, I buckle up after I crank the vehicle, but before I put it into gear.

That's good to hear and at least you put it on. I just wish every state would do this for it's a safety factor. I know I have to when getting into someone's car for ya never know when you could get into an accident. Thanks for the response and take care.
