This morning the weather channel's forecast for our area was morning showers with clearing in the afternoon...so I was truly surprised when the sun came up and the most magnificant colors were splattered across the sky. About a quarter to six this morning I also got to see the most beautiful double rainbow...so I quickly called for my coworkers to come and check it out. One of the girls brought her cell phone and took a picture! It's been a long time since I have seen a double rainbow....have you ever seen a double rainbow?

Wow, that must have been beautiful... I've only ever seen like a half a rainbow and don't ever recall seeing a double rainbow. Hopefully one day I'll get to witness this phenomenon as you have. By chance, were you able to get the pic from her cell phone to share with us all?

yes i had that was some years back...and it comes when it drizzle and at the same time a sunny weather..and it so beautiful that it makes me remember when im still young that if you can see the rainbow then at the end of it you can find some gold or whatever or even dwarfs or fairies...and when it reference to a bible i guess it means or it talks about a promise by God cant really elaborate on more since i forgot the verse on it..

i've seen double rainbows too! its a really spectacular sight! i love rainbows and double rainbows are a must see. its a spectacular phenomenon. i've seen double rainbows at day and also at night. the rainbows i see at night are around the moon. i don't know if you have seen one but i usually see one when the night sky is clear and the moon is round. its an amazing sight.

I've seen a few of them here in Ireland...it rains so much here,rainbows are quite common! I read something a while back about how they get created..it takes light at a low angle to create them,so they tend to appear either early or late in the day with the angle of the sun..but they're always nice to see!

Wow how beautiful, Gods promise. I just so love to see rainbows. A double one, incredible, most extroridnary. I have never seen. You are very priviledged to have seen one. I think the most beautiful one I ever saw was recently after the storms I drove my daughter down to the station and there was one that stretched from one side of the estuary all the way over to the other just like a bridge. it was the same forecast over here i had said last nite i wuld be doing all my errands in the rain again, but i was woken up by the sun shining in my face i was so happy, and i did all my errands and took my time today it was very nice outside..

Wow, that is a rare pleasure indeed. I have seen a double rainbow, but not very many times at all. There was actually one occasion that I can recall in my life that there were 3 in the sky at the same time. There is just something about a rainbow that just enlightens your day isn't there?

No,I haven't seen anything like it before but I do wish I could. I think it'll be spectacular like the eclipse's and comet's. Good for you if you could post the picture and share it with those who haven't seen it, it'll be grea.

I see rain forecast all day on my desktop, but no rain so far....
Maybe they confused Friday with Saturday...
Anyway, no sunshine and no raining, just windy and cold.

Double rainbows are so pretty. I was one who was glad it didnt rain as the top to my convertable was down and its hard to latch back up and I didnt want to. Plus I was drying some blankets outside.
