When I first start my computer this message comes up with the red cross. Obviously it's a problem. But what is it, what caused it and how do I fix it??? c:\program1\myweb~1\bar\2.bin\m3plugin.dll Appreciate any help available.

a plug in program is like an additional portion of another program.. like an assistant program for the original one. yer error message broke down.. c:/ means whatever the program is, is in yer c drive program1 is the name of the folder this program is in myweb is the name of the program whose plugin isnt working properly. best way to fix this problem is to uninstall whatever program that is that you have on yer system.. and reinstall it.

Thanks tessah, I could find the file in My Programs file. Excuse my total ignorance, I can't remember installing this, and no doubt I did, or was it always there? MYWEBSEARCH does not appear as a program to be added or deleted in the "Add or Remove" list. I'm worried that I may be deleting something I should not delete. To reinstall this, I need to know what I am reinstalling, it says nothing that I can comprehend or notice as a program I need or want. Any more advice?

Sounds like .dll file has been corrupted by a virus. Check this out if it helps to solve your problem. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080507230622AAluw0y

I think it is something to do with your registry but not sure what! I am going to ask a friend if they can help and direct them to this discussion if they have not already been here! xxx

Sorry Tetchie, this old Yogi is no Computer Tech, and no Angel either. My solution to a problem such as yours would be to throw money at it. When my last Computer slowed down and Stopped I gave it to my son, and he had it working like new in no time. The younger generation have a natural flair for the Super High Tech! Good Luck with your Problem!
