Are you in favor of a long distance relationship???

My hubby and I are proof that it can work out. We met when he was an exchange student to my University in Germany. After he had to return home to the US I still had to finish my degree. We wrote many letters and had expensive phone bills (this was back in the early nineties, no email yet and such). We only got to visit each other once or twice a year but tried to stay at least a month. We managed to maintain a long-distance relationship for four more years before I could join him in the US and we got married. Nowadays we could talk for several hours for the price of the fifteen minutes we could afford to spend on the phone once or twice a week back then. email, IM, webcams, wow, I wish we would have had that back then. It would have been easier to be apart for such a long time. Anyhow, it can be done, if the right one comes along...
