American friends' thought about the subprime crisis

It seems that many people have the thought that America has fallen into a recession.Do American friends aslo think so?Have most Americans really been hurt by the subprime crisis?

Well, most experts would agree that we are not technically in a recession yet, but we are certainly headed in that direction. Right now I think most Americans are more worried about inflation than the subprime crisis, although both of these things are related.
