need some adware and spyware tips please...

I like doing my PTCs but the problem is now I have tons of adware and spyware viruses running in my computer. Most fall into the "warning" category, but still... Is there anyway I can still be able to do PTC sites while avoiding adware and spyware? can anybody help? thanks.
