I like learning about a lot of things. Except Politics. I would have to be chained and bound to get me to listen to any of that. The main thing I learn online is languages. I've taught myself sign language, even though I'm still a beginner. I use the internet as a tool rather than just communicating with other people. I'm always on here looking up phrases in seven languages.

If I dont like it, I just about cant learn it...like math. I can barely do 4th grade math, but I'm doing college history and chemistry...I just hated math. With a Passion. A big Passion. Big, evil Passion....you get the idea.

OMG - I HATE having to learn what I don't like!! I hated Home Economics (it was mandatory when I was in Junior High) and I hated History (it seemed so irrelevant to me at the time). I hated the idea of having to take Philosophy and other courses for the basic general ed requirements to get a degree that usually had nothing at all to do with any of those requirements. I know that for the most part it's to discipline you because we are always at some point going to have to do something we don't like, but that doesn't make it any easier, you know?
I did eventually come to enjoy History after doing genealogy and finding the relationship of certain historical events to members of my family tree. It suddenly became more relevant. And, I was glad I had to learn to sew when I began making my own clothes in high school (although I haven't done that in years) and am glad I could do it now if I had to. The cooking thing - well, I didn't master that, if you can call it mastery, until these last 10 years or so. I just don't enjoy it like my mother does.
But, no, I don't think I'll ever want to HAVE to learn something I don't like. But, I now know that I CAN if I must.

Learning means understanding I guess.. If thats the case I Learn what I like and I remember what I Do not like. For example, I love physics, and I completely understand it. And I hate calculus. So I just remember how to do stuff with it. you get my point I hope. If I love something then I usually l;earn it even if its tough to understand. Spend lots of lots of time on it and understand it better. But if I don't like something, when I just let it pass and just remember so that I can recollect whenever I want to.

I'm a curious person by nature, I just can't help myself. If someone ask me something and I don't know, I will dig and search till I find an answer.
One of my older brothers was teaching our adult class at church and he ask a question to everyone, just to give us something to make us think. Some came back the next with one or 2 answers. I came back with 10 pages full.
I'm not very good with math, but I do try really hard to grasp it. And since I do home school, I really learn things, even if I don't care for them. I have learnt that I enjoy learning more now that I'm older than when I was in school.
I'm not what you call a natural learner, so I have to really dig.
