If You're In Her Shoes, What Would You do?
My godson finally fell in love-for the first time. And ever since, he always forget to text or call his mom, you know, just to update on his plans for the day..The mom works at night in a call center so they only see each other before the son goes to school..So, she wanted to at least have some idea how his day was..He's so hooked with this girl and doesn't even make some effort to reply to his mom..
If you're in her place, what would you do?

It is part of growing up I guess. Must have been worse for our parents. You know in the time before cell phones and texting. First, I'd say try and be understanding. We all had these feelings. There was a time for each of us to start to seperate from our parents. It must have hurt them. Now we are on the other side of it. It's a big ouch. Try sitting down once in a e
a while touch base see where he is. Remind him that as a parent it is your job to make certain he is alright. It is his responsibility to let you know he is fine. THat its not always a safe world. As a matter of respect to please respond. Try treating it as an adult situation. THat may help.
