New And Improved MyLot...Ideas Please...

I think it would be nice if we could improve the earnings ,so people would be more excited to participate.

I'd like to see a notification when someone comments on your photos. I think this would create more action with photos as when I post a photo with a response, it seems people don't look at it because I've never had a response. I'd also like to be notified if someone leaves a comment on my profile.

Personally, I would Love to see an Edit button, a spell check feature, and a Block feature. The only thing is, that would that stop that person from being able to Rate you, etc. it would be nice. As for the Star system, I think you could definately be on to something there. Start everyone out even the Newbies with a 10, and in order to maintain your 10 you have to post a certain amount of quality posts or discussions a month to keep it there. Only certain appointed people could ever choose to demote you from your 10 if you were not active, or if your posts became offensive, or poor quality. This would truly help solve some of the issues on here I would think. Just my thoughts.

Your first one about the star, I don't even care about, but the other two look good..Then for my third one, which would be my first choice would be to see the whole discussion through my e-mail, especially when friends post pictures in their discussions...Of course I mentioned this to Crash and Mylot many times and I believe I even posted at least once about it..

I don't have a lot of ideas to change things so it would be easier for us, except to put in an edit button. I know it can't be all that difficult since a lot of other chat sites have one. I have many a times posted something and then after saw I had some typo errors or I may have stated something and after reading it, think it was too mean or it didn't read what I really meant. So I would love to be able to change it. Also I think they should get rid of the star rating system altogether. I don't worry about it anymore since it really doesn't mean anything when it comes to my friends responding to me or when it comes to our earnings. So why bother having it at all! The spell check idea of yours is probably good aothough I can't imagine what some of the foreign members would do since they would spend a lot more time fixing their spelling mistakes, than they would posting. So I don't think that is such a great idea for them. There is an draft button on the bottom of the page that says preview response and so you can use it and it would not disappear then if something happened to kill the discussion or response. I use it occasionally if I want to read it before I post it. So I just used it now for this response and it has an edit button so that I could add this to it. But most people don't want to go through another step when they post, so they don't use it often.

Mylot has improved a lot and one can also see teh number of peoepl who ahve joined here now and i still remember the earlier day's ofw orking in mylot and i also should say this is teh first site which gave first online money and i am proud to be a part of this whoel family which has grown so strong now and only thing which i feel whre mylot can still improve is in revenue giving ...i mean, ther should be some way where mylotians earn more and mayb equality discussions or threads should fetch more money,...

I do agree with your ideas.From my part I wish the earnings can be more attractive.something should be done in this regard.I hope it happens.I am sure amny more out here would want it.

I would love to see a way to rearrange my friend's list. I have great friends that I talk to all the time. And I would love to be able to put the list in ABC order or at least in the order I hear from them.

I do not know quite how to explain what I want to say. I guess it would have to be, smaller pay incriments. For me, no matter how hard I work, I can not make it to $25.00 a month. Before, when I would make it to like $17.00, they would give me maybe $15.00. Last payout, I made it to $17.00 and they gave me $11.01. They go from $10 to $25. It would be nice if they went from $10 to $15. To me it is hardly worth all the work that I put in every month, to only get like 10 or 11 dollars. I know that it saves them money by doing it this way, but Mylot is becoming to time consuming for that little bit of money. If things do not change soon, I will start posting until I make payout for the month and then quit until the next time. There are many other things that I can be doing with my time.

Hey! I don't know if I really like the star rating revamping idea. And not just because I currently have a 10 star. LOL I don't get to participate on here as often as I would like to (and I know there are others that are in the same situation). If my star was based on how active I was then I'd be a lot less then a 10, that is for certain! LOL I see where you are going with it though. I do try to give quality discussions as well as responses. If anything the admin should be rating us, not the users themselves. But then again maybe that would be flawed too. The only thing I want (so far LOL) is for the admin to add a button to users profiles so that people can turn on/off the notification switch directly from their friends pages instead users having to search through their friends list in order to do this. I actually sent a PM to the admin a couple months ago with this idea, but I never heard back from them.

Spell check and edit are definitely needed. I hate posting and seeinig that I had a typo. With all the questions I've seen on earnings it would be nice if mylot gave a clearer understanding of the earnings structure.

I would like to see something like an ignore button for the people that keep requesting to be added and we deny them, but they keep requesting anyway. Maybe a color button added in the mylot code so we can change the color of the font Putting our saved interests in alphabetical order, so instead of scrolling through pages of them, then giving up and posting in "life" because its easy to find, we can search alphabetically, or have a little search bar within our interests to easily locate it that way. Great discussion. I've suggested these idea (and more) to my lot. I did get a "thank you for the ideas" reply.

I think that there should be a page telling people how they can maximize their earnings as loads of people are asking that and there are no definite answers. I think there should also be edit/delete buttons, so that you can edit your post if you made a mistake or delete it if you regret what you said straight away. I am not that bothered about a spell checker as I use firefox and use the spell checker add on.

Even though mylot don't have a spell checker, Firefox does it's another browser and it's great way way better than Internet Explorer by 100%.. I think they should just get rid of the star system.. To many people are wanting that 10 star why I don't know it's only a blue star... I think everyone should be treated equal and not have a star to say I'm better than you... A block button YES would be great than that way when you have someone that is rude you can block them and not worry about them replying to your posts any longer..

That problem with the star ...that wouldn't be fair to those who don't have a lot of time to send here. I would just get rid of it completely. They just take up space on the website. No one cares if your star is blue or gray or what # it has in it. I wold like to see them leave a post for every deleted post telling why it was deleted like they do in normal forums. Most of all treat us as they would like to be treated, like adults. I would like to see an edit button on all replies and discussions after we have already hit the button to post. I would like to see "best reply" taken out because if more than a few reply to most discussions they all basically say the same thing. Therefore they would all be the best. And last but not least get rid of the "add tags" when replying or in a PM. Only the person who starts a discussion should be able to use tags.

I would love to see the search utilities improved because it is quite difficult to find anything even when using the same keywords that were originally entered. Yes, I hope everyone will be respectful to myLot staff because without them we would not have this wonderful place. I do wish everyone would act like this is myLot's home and we are all visitors, because it really is, you know.

A spell checker would be nice but you could always just use a program on your computer, or a browser like Mozilla Firefox to spellcheck for ya'. As for the star rating? Basing it on participation would probably unbalance it even more. I mean, i'm not saying the star system is good how it is now, but basing it on participation could really drop some peoples ratings. Not everyone is super active, and it's not necessarily because they dont want to be, it's probably more to the sort that they just dont have the time! Maybe some sort of star revamp might be in order, what exactly? I'm not sure. A simple solution to your last one is to do what I do. I copy my discussion in a program like Wordpad before posting it to the internet and if the post fails to send through I just go back to the dicussion & copy it out of my wordpad and back into the discussion again and re-send it. You could just high-light it all and press ctrl-x, and ctrl-v to re-copy it, and if it fails you still have it saved in your pasting area, and then just open the discussion up again and ctrl-v it to bring it back. Of course, that obviously would only work for people with 500 posts or more, =P It made me really agrivated when I had below that... =/. Also, the ignore button will never be implemented. This is supposed to be a completely open discussion board for anyone to post wherever they please, and however they please as long as they're following mylot's guidlines, by allowing people to add ignore buttons it could cause some real havoc for Mylot, because of course the abusers, and just groups of people in general. It's.. really not a good idea to have, basically. The troll's end up getting removed eventually so it's not like they dont get dealt with. I agree with the profile pages idea though, and i'm sure they can do something to spruce it up. I personally can't think of any ideas at the moment but if I do i'll definitely come back to this thread. I already posted all my previous ideas to Crash and the others, =P

Great ideas twoey, I particularly like the star system idea, though I fear I would probably lose my lovely blue star! I think that they should just remove the negative rate. Being able to give some a cheer is always great but there is no need to jeer. Since there are some who are unable to live by this just remove the ability to be negative. I also love the auto draft notion. I have a spell check on my web browser so a spell check here is not really necessary for me but it certainly is useful.

I would like it if there was a way to edit your comments or discussions. Also if we could choose different fonts and colors, that would make it more fun.
