lord of the rings: movie vs. book / myLot

i really love Lord of the ring.. but i love the book more.. yet, i give two thumbs up for the scriptwriter/s and director of the movie.. how about you guys, which better..?

I agree with you. The book is so good and the descriptions are way too amazing to be copied exactly on screen. But I still have to admit that it was a good movie.

The movies were good, but I agree the books were better and I think that is generally the case where books are made into movies. I think with the books you get to read the inner thoughts of the characters, whereas in the movie you just hear the words and not the thoughts behind the words.

I have seen the movie first and then buy the books. But until now, I have not finished even one book. But I have seen all the three movies. So you know I love the movie more.
