well.. insomnia is generally bad for our health.. scientifically speaking.. but, for me.. one thing good about being insomniac is that you can study your lessons longer..you can spend more time making your assignments.. right? but then..when morning comes, you tend to be weak.. because you slept late..well..that's the hardest part there, not able to have energy during daytime.. you can't focus on your lessons well in class..thus, failing the subject. everything has its pros and cons. sometimes, it has its advantages. but most often the not, it has its disadvantages. In my case, i'm an insomniac too..especially when i don't have any activities at daytime..i tend to sleep 3 to 4 in the morning..well, i got used to it. When i was still in high school, i was already an insomniac. which i find it advantage to me since i was able to study my lessons well..coffee at that time was my best bud.. but now, i don't drink it anymore..i already had tremors so i think it's time to stop that habit. for those who are insomniac like me, just be optimistic. as i've said, everything has its pros and cons. its up to you how you'll deal with it. Me? i just read books. (history specifically) =)

Your body needs a certain amount of sleep to be healthy and I wasn't able to function when I had trouble sleeping so I chose to take medication.

I agree. Insomnia for me is like a battery extension... After a long hard day of work and there are still things I need to do, It keeps me up, and buys me some time I need. I actually have insomnia but it only gets triggered occasionally. In the morning though, I feel as weak as hell... My battery ran out... No more extra life. Hehe.
