I just went to sign onto PaperBackSwap, and apparently my account has been frozen! I have no idea why! I want to cry. I just sent them a message, but of course, they probably won't get back to me for days on end, cause that's how sites are! OMG, I am so upset :( I don't even know what I did wrong! I'm guessing because I tried to buy credits from other members using Revolution Money Exchange, but I'm really honestly not sure, but that could be the only reason! It doesn't say that I can't in the terms, unless I missed it...grrrr...(cries).

It's actually been fixed, which was very quick by the way, lol. It's a site where you post the books you no longer want, and when someone requests them, you send them to the other member, you pay the shipping. Each time a member recieves one of the books you sent, you get a credit, you use those credits to get books from other members, and when you request a book from someone, they pay the shipping and you pay nothing. When you post your first 10 books, you get 2 credits to start out with too. If you are interested, you should sign up, I love it, even if they froze my account for a few hours, lol. If you don't mind though, when you sign up, if you do, can you please put me down as your referrer? My name there is jenni7202, and it would earn me 1 credit for letting you know about the site. Thanks!

Wow, I'm sorry. I don't even know what paperbackswap is, but I know how you feel. Yahoo froze my YahooAnswer portion of my account. I wrote them three times and they won't unfreeze it. Basically what I did was answer a question on their about Peer-to-peer software (which I found out that kind of question is prohibited per their terms). I'm assuming the user who made the question and everyone who answered it got their account frozen. I was even on level 3 (almost to level 4)...so I was really upset. So, I have been spending most of my time on myLot since Yahoo refuses to take the freeze off the account. You have a wonderful day.

They are generally pretty good about getting back to members fast. I had my daughter sign up for an account not realizing she had to be 18 first, and they caught it fast, but didn't freeze my account. I'm sure you'll get it worked out!

So sorry to hear about this. If nothing could be done, just sit back and relax. I too have a lot of times, account was frozen or was held for investigation. Some of them takes too long to believe. If this is unavoidable, just let it, and focus on making posting on mylot so that mid months can get a little pocket money to buy something i like. (not expensive item)

Really sorry to hear you got your account locked. I didn't realise there was anyway to get credits other than book swapping or buying from PBS. I have to say I think the site is brilliant having moved from a country where books are relatively cheap I found buying books in America very expensive so when I discovered paperbackswap it was a godsend. I cannot rate it highly enough for its idea or the service I've always got books really quickly and most are like new. On the one occasion that I had to contact the site they were very quick to respond so good luck in hearing something.

You might be right about why they froze your account. The only thing I've seen about buying credits is buying them FROM PBS, not from other swappers. But, I don't know. Maybe someone complained? I put myself on vacation hold for a while because being at my mother's with my books at my apartment wasn't working out. Now, I don't even have the books because I found a book seller who wanted them, so she took everything I had. I'm going to have to delete my stock. I'll always be getting books here and there, so when I can, I'll get back on. I can't print a label, though, and I still have money on file for postage. Good luck - my feeling is that they will release your hold after a bit, but I don't know for sure.
