Is it important for us to take vitamins??

I wonder whether it is good for us to take vitamins. I have never taken vitamins since my young age as my mom never taught me to take vitamins. I wonder anyone there who can share with me the benefits you get after getting that vitamins since your early age. At least we can share a health tips as I am always looking to improve my health condition. Cheers

I think it is good to take one mulitvitamin a day. I have taken it in the past and I have noticed after a few weeks I start to feel better. I think it is good to take them if we are not getting all the nutrients from our diet, atleast this way we know it has all the vitamins we need in one tablet. I used to get really bad anxiety, then I started taking a mulitvitamin a day and liquid minerals, about a month later my anxiety ceased. So I think there are many benefits of taking mulitvitamins.

I think we should take vitamins when all we eat is not healthy food. Some of us too picky about food, even we know that this food have a lots of vitamins and good for healthy body. But of course we should consider the dosage of each vitamin. Too much taking will caused toxify and it will be another problems.

yeah it's good to take vitamins especially vitamins C,,it helps to protect from colds and cough.i take poteen-C but sometimes when i take that everyday i reallY feel sleepy lol.so i scheduled it every M-W-F only..
other vitamins are good for the skin.it looks healthy when you take them...ciao!

I think that vitamins are only really necessary for people with limit / restricted diets, such as people on the Atkins diet or allergies to many foods that have high amounts of certain vitamins. If you are eating a balanced diet then you will be getting your expected daily amount of vitamins right there and there is no need to take any extra, it would just be a waste of money.

We need vitamins in very small quantity.
If we take fresh fruits, leafy vegetables, Whole grain bread then we get vitamin from these foods.
I think till the age of 30 or 35 we donot need additional vitamin pill.When somebody has been sufferered from disease or have weakness then he or she need additional vitamin.
If we include fresh fruits like,orange ,grape fruit,apple banana and leafy vegetable like spinach,lettuce provide lots vitamin.
Carrots or any orange fruits are excellent source of vitamin A.
