Donating plasma for money, is that so wrong?

I've heard plenty of debates on whether donating plasma is wrong or not.
Personally I don't think its that wrong, give a little a get a little back! Hell, I'm even thinking about doing it since gas prices are so high.
I do regular blood drives and try to give back as much as I can on a normal basis and never get anything in return. I'm not complaining but I think it would be nice just to get a few bucks donating time ( and body fluids ) if they are offering it!
What do you think? Is it wrong?

Why would it be wrong? I donate my plasma.. I enjoy it. I get to read and not be disturbed lol. Yeah, I do it mainly for the money. So what? There is a need for it and it's not like the plasma isn't SOLD. They make money off of it as far as I know.

Exactly, thank you! Some people I know tell me well that's not donating you should do it for free. Well they are willing to pay so I won't say no! lol

It is not the same as donating blood, and I have never heard of places where they take plasma for free (I could be wrong, though...) I mean, sure, you could turn the money down, but like I said it is still a business and somehow they manage to pay all of the workers (the one near me has a TON and they make pretty good money) and the people who donate, so they must be making money...

as a person who was hospitalized a year ago with bleeding
diverticulitis and had to have four blood transfusions, I am
only too glad that people will donate blood and plasma.
I cannot donate blood as I had hepatitis when in my twenties
but applaud all who donate blood and plasma. nothing but
good comes from that.

Donating plasma for money isn't wrong at all. I think it's largely misunderstood. I'm in college and I just started donating this year. I do it twice a week. With gas prices the way they are, it's at least nice to have that extra hunk of change. It can at least buy a tank per week which goes a long way when you are a college student like me or you just need some extra income. And on top of that it helps people and saves lives. So why wouldn't you do it? I'm not sure if you can donate blood and plasma though. When you donate plasma they give you your blood cells back.

I don't think so. You're helping others and at the same time you're helping yourself. Many do it here in our country. Some even do it just for a few meals.

as far as i know donating something for money isn't a wrong. there's nothing wrong to donate something to those needy or someone that have nothing in life.it's a good deeds give what you have, because you help in this action you made.
we don't blame someone disagree on donating because they misinterpret that words due to there religious belief. but for me there's nothing wrong in donating something for money
