Menopause... Whew!!! How do you deal with hot flashes?

Yep, it's happening to me. I'm on hormone replacement therapy, but I still have hot flashes. (Not as bad as without the medication, but bad enough!)
How do other women deal with this without freezing their husbands to death? My poor husband looks like an Eskimo while I'm (attempting to) bask in the cool breeze of 2 fans at once. This really is the pits!
Help!

The one thing that has helped me with this problem is that I drink soya milk instead of cows milk and I take a soya tablet at night. My hot flushes are getting better after a few years with them and I have never taken HRT. Try it you have nothing to loose and the soya milk has got better over the years I have been drinking it, the taste is much better now.
Let us know how you get on

it is worth a try as it worked for me but you do need to consume about 1 litre a day to start with. As soon as you feel yourself getting hot then drink a glass of it. I would be interested to hear if it works for you as well

I am very lucky I am not experiencing any of these although I am having to use estrogen cream in places I wish I didn't have to, I think I would swap conditions with you toi be honest...
