william shekspeire v/s j.k rowling

Comparing these two authors is like trying to get oil and water to mix. Hmmm.... if I had the choice of investing my time to revisit the pages of Macbeth or read a Harry Potter book, I would be spending my time with Shakespeare.

I have never read J. K. Rowling but I have read much of Shakespear. She writes books for children, he wrote plays to be performed on the stage, and poetry to be read. How can you compare the two? Rowling can tell a story but I don't think she ever wrote anything that will live in the English language. Every day we speak words and phrases which Shakespeare first penned all those centuries ago.
