What do you think made David Cook win AI?

I like Brooke White's voice, it's very distinctive and clear. Too bad she didn't picked the right songs for her. When I heard her sang I'm so vain, her husky voice was gorgeous, it really stood. You can already tell it's Brooke who is singing. The same with David Archuleta, he also have a distinctive voice that when you listen over the radio you'll know he is the singing. I also like Ramielle Malubay because she is cute but she also didn't pick the right song for her. Everytime she sings, she don't give her best shot. Everyone wants to get that chance to become an American Idol, but I felt she was always holding back. She also have this distinct voice that you can always refer to her. David Cook, on the other hand, also have a very good rockstar voice. A rockstar voice that does not irritate much. I'm not just that comfortable when he sings onstage because you can see him almost having a very difficult time belting out long and high notes. But he really have stage presence than David Archuleta.

Yeah David Cook did have that rock voice and that is what drew a lot of people to liking him. Ramelie was good also. I felt really bad the night she got voted off. It was hard for her to sing that sort of music during Dolly Parton week. I think Brooke still has a good chance of making it big and so does a lot of others. I mean I have seen a lot of past American Idols like Chris Daughtry and Kellie Pickler from Season 5 that have made it very big. Espically Chris daughtry.

I agree. But during the first weeks of idol, David cook actually was like arrogant. Until the weeks went on he mellowed and was actually a nice guy.

Wow, thanks for the post. How about this, do you think the final round was a staged one? For example the way Simon judged and favored David A. all out just to make the fans rave and vote more for David C? I felt it that way

Yes, i felt the same way also. Maybe Simon did that on purpose of giving the favor and declaring David Archuleta was better than David Cook on all the three songs that they performed during the finals to make rave for David Cook votes. If that's true, then I like Simon's style. I like both David A and David C, but I like David C better and I'm happy he won the contest.

I think I'll have to agree with that, He is a true artist perhaps.

Hhmm I think the fans in general would but those die hard fans and the fans in their own home base wont. Like what Simon said, he doesnt care who won because both of them deserve it. The thing is I do care who wins and I want both of them^_^ so since as Ryan says it "There can only be ONE American Idol." Im quite good with either of the two.^_^

Yup, I also guess so. The songs mostly on the show are more popular and got the fan's vote.

Thanks mhayelynna! hahaha, but I made this discussion as neutral as possible :-) On what I have observed, Archuleta fans are really more on the younger side, while Cook's fanbase get the more general population.

This is also what I felt for the outcome. David C was already earning records as for David A., while still young needs to improve yet. I guess.

The finale was great. The show now focused on the contestants themselves, not the big celebs on the show. After all it was all about them. I also like their duets with some big stars.
