as a busy mother, with all these things in my head, the last thing i will check before leaving the house are the windows, if they're locked, and the gas switch. yet, sometimes, i forget to check if i bring my celfones. lol

I always check to see if there are appliances still open. Then I check my wallet and any important stuff I need to bring such as work related stuff, and of course, my cellphone as well. Then right before leaving the house, I check to see if all the doors and closed and I'm off.

I would check whether did I turn off all the lights and switches. Also I would check if my wallet and cellphone is with me.

I know exactly what you mean! Many a time that I have checked that my backdoor is locked. Many a time that I also checked that my windows were closed. Many a time I made sure everything was okay. And then I'd go out and drive like 50 miles and do some shopping only to find at the checkout that I've left my wallet at home. Except for some small change for parking that I keep in the little side pocket of my purse I'd have no money to pay for my items. I'd feel so embaressed about that. But it still happens sometimes. Although I'm getting more and more into the habit of making sure I put my wallet, car registration wallet and cell phone back into my purse if I take them out in the house.
