What's the best of all the Spyro games?

Which one have you found to be the most fun to play?
I play Hero's Tail on my Xbox from time to time. I still haven't completed everything in it, but it's a pretty fun game. My little brother plays the original "Spyro the Dragon" on this Playstation we found at Goodwill a few months ago. He loves his, but he constantly says mine is better, and I'm not sure which one has more going for it.

The first three are the best. The epicness of being so old is what makes it so great I think and well, I grew up with them, probably my favorite video game series or at least up there. The newer ones are okay but they still have that Spyro feel which puts them ahead of most games nowadays all together I love the older ones. Just playing it on a playstation 1 is brilliant :D

In my opinion, Year of the Dragon is the best. It brings back so many memories.

I haven't played much Spyro but I must say that the original games are far superior. In the newer games they tried to add too much story and it ended up ruining the feel of the game. For me Spyro was never about story, it was about collecting shiny things and laughing at the textures glitching.

to me the first ones are the best. the ones for the regular ps1. i want to get it for my xbox 360 so i can play it on there. i have not got to try the newest one they have out for the xbox 360, but if it is anything like the older ones just made new with better graphics i will prolably like it a lot.

I have all the spyro games on playstation and I love them! I think my favorite one would be Riptos Rage, or Year of the dragon, because you get to do all sorts of neet tasks and tricks and skill points with out having an overly excessive story line. I really like the little snippest of video that relate to the level in the first three.
