My oldest cat has a favorite toy mouse. It is furry and life like. When he is in a certian mood, he makes a squeeky sound and brings the mouse to me. I find it by my bed, at my chair or on the stairs. I tried playing "fetch" with him, but there is no interest. Why do you think he is bringing me his mouse?

he probably just either wants to give you a present,or wants you to throw it for him.
one of mine wants me to throw it all the time, but he never brings it back.maybe watching me run after it is the game LOL

Hi Ailina,
I think your oldest cat has a desire to give you something that he values... He can't go out and buy you chocolates or even the catnip that he likes so he gives you the toy mouse instead.
He sacrifices to do that and just perhaps wants a kind word, praise for being generous, a "thank you", a pat on the back and some petting...
I think that perhaps when you want to play fetch he might think that you don't like his gift.
It is good to see you here... Hoping all is going well with you.

My mom's cat used to bring her a toy chick. She also used to pick the chick up and carry it around for solace when they used to leave the house. My cat comes and sits by me when I've been gone awhile but other than tha dosn't show too much emotion.
