1. all desires.
here desire means attachments to various objects of mind. These are the cause of imbalance in our thinking. by giving up desires does not mean giving up ambitions or aim of life. Giving up desire means to grow beyond them while achieving them.
2. get delighted in own self.
Delight in self is used in the sense of vanity, pride, ego of what has been achieved and role we play in any situation which is temporary and can cause us to disrespect others based in this discrimination. Giving up self indulgence helps us grow faster.
3. unperturbed in misery.
No question of this. one must give up being perturbed with every silly misery. Misery is actually an illusion caused by our attachments. Situation actually wants to teach something and we get perturbed unnecessarily instead of learning.
4. without fear & anger.
What is achieve through fear and anger results in stress and health problems. Why not perform our duties with love and peace, gracefully.
5. free from "affection".
Affection is again used in-terms of limited affection to wards some individuals only. We should show affection towards whole world and every human being unconditionally. Only then will every one love to follow you. accept you as a true leader.
True Gita needs practical experience to understand.
