Will you use umbrella..?

i live in mumbai in rainy season i have to use this here all of my friends have umbrella.

I knew someone that used an umbrella to shade himself from the sun. I, however, never have my umbrella handy when it rains and I'm too self-conscience to use it to shade myself.:-(

Well I think this is such a necessity now that rainy days are in. I am not very fond of carrying them but for practical reason I always bring one because of the unpredictability of weather this past few days. Bringing in Jacket can be as bulky then bringing umbrella. Plus the fact that we could both use it for sunny days as well. Jacket maybe handy but you can only use that during rainy or cold days.

dear chennai_b02 First of al I admit that I use umbrella occasionally particularly in summer season. But in rainy season I do not want to use umbrella due to various reason. If you hold umbrella in rainy season you will not be able to drive two wheeler. I generally use rain coat in the rainy season which I feel comfortable. pkc3000

I use an umbrella when it rains hard. I do not usually use one when the sun is heating intensely. I just do not want to get wet. :)

When it is raining, I usually end up getting wetter trying to open and close the umbrella while getting in and out of my truck or while entering a building, than I would if I were to just make a run for the door or the truck without the umbrella. So, I usually don't bother with getting the umbrella out unless I know I am going to be out in the rain for a while. However, I HAVE often wondered if an umbrella would be effective in keeping me cooler while out in the sun if I used one for shade. I have seen people in movies using umbrellas for this purpose. Maybe I will try it some day.

Yes if the rain is really heavy I will use and umbrella; then there are times that when it rains hard and i don't have far to walk i might not use the umbrella. Don't care for walking with them cause they don't keep your feet from getting wet. It can keep the body dry but not all over.
