Friend said.....My lot is Bad...!!

Haha, I guess mylot is indeed very addictive because I guess we just love to discuss about things in life! But, I guess you and your friend really should convince yourselves what really should take priority in your lives and things that should be done first should take priority. I remember an analogy of putting rocks and sand into a bucket; if you put the rocks first into the bucket and then pour in the sand in, you are more likely to be able to fill the bucket nicely, but if you put the sand first then try to put the rocks later, you are more likely to be not able to fill the bucket nicely. The rocks are those priorities in life, we should concentrate on them first before doing other things like mylotting (analogous to the sand). Remember that mylot will always be here, and it won't run away. There will always be some time for you to come back in future....all the best!

Well, in certain ways, it means that myLot is good. It really has the things what people want and enjoy. That's what makes it addictive. In fact, I am also addicted to myLot now, spending as much time as I can. Well, ofcourse, I shouldn't be spending more time than I should !

Oh I really think that you should also limit your being hooked to this site. I think its a matter of time management that she has to do with it. I really think that Mylot is kind of helpful in trying to open venues for our own opinions and views on different kinds of issues that affect our lives but then it should be the individual's responsibility to be able to control her time for mylot and hie personal life. She should not blame Mylot for her failure in family and personal life as Mylot has nothing to do with it.

I think when you are a newbie you will spend much time on here . You have to get the lay of the land . I kinda Am hooked myself too. This mylot would never get in the way of all the above though.

I do really think we have to limit how long we spend on here, I only spend the time I have t spare n here, after works done and paperwork and house stuff. I would hate to think I had neglected anybody or anything just to earn a few pennies.

It's all about managing your time. Make a list of things to do. Do them, then get on and do mylot. Yes it takes up time from mylot but you are getting the things you need to get done and your not pulling to much time away from your kids. trust me this is what I'm doing now and things are still going great

When I first started here on Mylot a long time ago, I had dial-up and I would often spend many hours here like your friend. Also, I didn't get paid hardly anything. But, after a while, I get tired of it and go on to do other things. So, I don't worry about being addicted to this site. As for getting paid, I feel that it's pretty good compared to a lot of sites. When I'm here, I'm also doing other things on other sites, so it's pretty productive time spent.

Dude, I think you and your friend should balance your life. Your kids are suffering because of your addiction. But it's good that you realized it before it's too late. You don't want your kid saying "mom/dad is always on the computer not taking care of me.".. Ouch.. Maybe you should take them to the park or mall today and spend some quality time.

Hi, I feel the same too. I spend a lot of time in myLot and I can say I spend almost whole day in from of my computer for myLot. I have neglected my family members and I have neglected my chores. I think I should control myself and arrange my time properly. MyLot is too addictive and once I'm here in myLot, I can't stop myself finding and responding to discussions.

I am guilty of this too.Some days I am here off and on all day.My husband is getting angry ablout it but I cant help it I am addicted to mylot.What in the world are we going to do?I feel that I need this to vent some of my frustration with everyday life.I need a break from kids and chores and I think I deserve it and so do you.Am I right?

MyLot IS addicting. However, I think it is important to limit your time on here and do other things with your time. This isn't a place meant to earn you money, it's a place to gain information and have fun, while earning a few cents here and there :-)

it is two-edged,the status is how can you get the available side of the edge.

My situation is not so bad as I haven't spent so much time on it, and maybe that is the reason why my earning is so little. But I am satisfied with it as my purpose here is to improve my English.

yes mylot is addicting but it doenst mean that its bad.its you who controls on what you are going to do..i suggest you have to have a time management.. happy posting!

Well, the main thing here is to learn how to leverage your time. You need to learn when is the Best time to be here, and stick to only that time, especially when it is interfering with your family, housework, etc. For me, I work a full time job, so my time in here varies from time to time, but I am learning how to leverage my time a little more when I come in here, and spend like an hr. or two, do some things I need to do, and then come back in here later. A lot of the time, you can find me in here later at night as well, as this is a better time for me as well. Hope this helps.

I don't have any kids at home so I don't have to be concerned about that but my house does get negligeted just a tad. I am one of those people who are addicted to mylot. I spend hours on this site and things do get left undone in the house.

Being hooked is something you need to control. 'Cause I know I'm easily on the internet 24/7 if I don't watch myself, I use a timer. I get 30 minutes each day on mylot and two to three hours (depends on the days and amount of work) working on the net. In the morning (before the kids get up) and the evening (after the kids are in bed) I'll read mails and blogs. And sometimes I will read on Mylot in the evening too. But that's not often. If you find it hard to control yourself, do like me, and use a timer, it'll help you to stop when it's time to do something else.

I dont know how old your kiddo us Nupats but I try to stick to mylotting during my little ones nap time and then later at night when shes in bed. Shes only five months so of course she requires much much attention. But mommy requires some sort of escape. Although since I am mylotting during her nap time by house chores area really lacking. I gotta get this laundry done!!!
