How did you guys manage your day to day expenses?Somebody told me to buy only those badly needed at home.Since all the things are getting expensive this time, we need to manage our day to day expenses. But mostly, sales items in the mall attracted people even though such items are not their daily needs, and I also doing that due to the fact that time will come that you would need to buy that items the price is already higher.

Hi agihcam, The day to day expenses has increased a lot even for common man. Literally i mean, the expense or the spending limit has increased though the things bought are the same. For example the Govt of India, ( I hope that you are also from India) has Increased the cost of petrol from Rs 50 to Rs 60/ and the LPG by Rs50 for a cylinder. Set this aside, and let us find, if the earning capacity of the individual has increased to meet the requirements. Some of us can say, that they are offset by the hike in allowances. But what's the plight of the rickshaw puller or a cobbler. Does he increase the labour charge for the work done by him? Even if he do so, do we pay? So, the govt needs to find a quick solution to keep the rising inflation and so the prices, other wise, there will be more countries in the world like zimbabwae, where the inflation is nearly one thousand percent. So till that time, as your friend said, we have to curt short our desire to go for luxury purchases, and need buy things only it is a dire need. Thanks for reading such a long post. Cheers friend.

You have a good point and I really appreciated that. Now a days each individuals doing all the possible steps or tricks as to how they can save even a penny, and even our own company itself doing their extra effort as to how they save their expenses, hence, our salary is affected. Many of the company right now go into agencies to at least have minimum benefits and salary increase compared to direct hiring, with this, it really affect our day to day needs and should have control day to day expenses. So from now own, I should have enough ideas on how to approach this scenario to my wife so that we could have better understanding on how to control or maybe at least minimize our day to day expenses and save extra money for the most important things.Good day and happy posting.

Yes, inflation is all over the world. Gas prices are going up, rice prices are going up. So, the consequence is that thay impact the priices of other commodities. So, these days we have to budget our spending carefully not to run into heavy debts !

I normally spend according to my earnings.. I'm well aware of my average expenses for the month. For eg: This month, I got a bonus and now I knew I could spend it for mother's day gift, my sister's and bro's birthday gifts and for my parent's wedding anniversary gifts that was a little more expensive. If I din't get a bonus, I had saved a lesser amount and would spend a customized amount for those gifts. May be I would just give a few flowers for mother's day. I remember I could manage my expenses well when I was earning just Rs. 4000 when I started my career and now I earn about Rs. 40k and my desires have increased. It's just that your expenses are based on how much you earn!
