i was in 2nd year high school when i engaged in martial arts, specifically karate.. i really had fun then.. all those intense exercises..woooh! that's tough.. i was actually inspired by one of my friends.. and i never had regrets when i engaged in karate..i had already joined a lot of competitions and those experience i will really not forget..i had gained a lot of friends as well..and i was physically fit also..=) i really recommend this kind of sport.. it not only develops you physically but also mentally and emotionally.. why? because you can gain a lot of self-confidence in this sport..imagine performing kata in front of so many people! who of you enjoy this sport? for those who answer yes, well..good for us! =) but for those who are say no, maybe you can try! =)

One thing you have not mentioned here is the discipline that greatly developed when you studying martial arts. I was a kick fighter martial arts lover ( same style with taekwondo ) and I was gained my black belt for a period of two years. Yes, precisely self confidence is totally developed here, I have a numerous fight or tournament played and confidence is keep on increasing.Glad there were many love karate.

yeah..discipline is also very important.. i wanted to reach till black belt, but unfortunately, it seems impossible now since i have to prioritize my studies first..my colleague kept on calling me and persuading me to come back, but since i have some other priorities in life, well then.. i guess i have to accept it that i cud not reach black belt..

they say martial arts promote your confidence that was why when i was a kid, my mum signed me up for karatedo lessons. i didn't reach any higher belt though but that was the beginning of my sports addiction. i found myself doing boxing, dragonboat rowing, track and field, and muay thai. =)
