Looking at getting a pet in the near future and can't decide on what to get? A dog? Everyone says they're man's best friend but they can be a lot of work. Fish? Less maintenance but look good. Smaller animal? Discuss.

Since you are an apartment dweller you may want to consider fish. My aunt has 2 doxins and she lives on the 2nd floor. She bought them when she was living in a house and says it is a huge pain to have to walk the dogs. Many small dogs cannot handle the walk up the stairs so they need to be carried and it is quite a pain to have to walk a dog twice a day in any weather. With a backyard, you could just let the dog out to go and play. Keep in mind that with a dog or cat you will have to pay a pet fee to your apt complex and may have higher rent every motnh due to having a pet.

Go for fishes...less maintenance but look good. Choose between Live-bearing fish or Egg-laying fish. Guppy also known as guppie is one of the most popular freshwater aquarium species in the world. It is a live-bearing fish.

If you have a yard, properly fenced, and can take care of your dog ( or whatever you decide), take it for walks, take the time to train it to be an indoor dog - have enough time to devote attention to it, be there when it needs you by all means get a Boxer - maybe I'm biased because I've had six boxers, over the years, two females and four males. My advantage was that the wife stayed at home, a housewife I guess, I had acreage, she loved them as much as I did. What I'm trying to say really is if you can't look after it - they're worst than little children, lovable, but you've got to take care of them. I could go on and on but you get the picture, I guess.
Bye now.
