you earn money online?
When I started eaning online I made a big mistake and I told to some friends and family that I earn online. Most of them got really interested about it...as usually people get interested when someone mentions money...but then when I said that here I make $1 writing for 3 or 4 hours they just loose interest. The same with PTC. I have this friend who spends like 7 or 8 hours per day in front of the computer downloading movies or shows, reading news and gossip listening to music but she doesn't even wanna hear about making some money out of it. She even laughed at me when I said I got my first $10 here. But now when I said I got about $100 from internet last month I saw she was jealous although once she had already said she found that stupid she didn't wanna change her mind and ask me for help. I know she doesn't have a lot of money so $100 would do her good. I don't wanna make anybody do what he/she doesn't wanna do but I just dont get it why people prefer doing something for free than for little money.
What about you what did people say to you about earning online?

It's always amusing to see that people like the idea of earning some extra money but rarely want to do the work for it. For example I have a friend who saw me playing my daily games on prizee. I let her do a few of mine and she really liked the games and thought it was cool to be able to get some gifts for having fun. But she didn't signup right away saying she'd do it from her own computer. She didn't. I sent another invite. I sent an email mentioning something about prizee. I even sent an e-card that they offered. She still hasn't signed up. So I think that if people don't want to make the effort even if you have tried your best to help them then you have to admit defeat.

Yours sounds like a success story in the beginning. Keep it up. Sooner rather than later you will be making good cash. People need to realize the internet can actually make you a millionaire. If they don't want to embrace modern technology, well we cant force them. But that doesn't mean we cant tell them what they are missing: just for kicks!!!

I told my family and they are still waiting to see a return for all of the time I spend on the computer. Mostly I have been looking for the most fun way for me to earn. I replied to a lot of discussions on here and did not earn very much. I love to surf traffic exchanges (find it very therapeutic - like playing solitaire etc but with a reason). So I needed to find a program I liked so that I could promote it. I have achieved that now and am even admin at an exchange learning the other side of things - it is great fun. Which is the most important part of earning on the internet. I see no point in retiring from my job to do another that I don't like.

Selling online is great because one can really make money with it.I wanted to try that too because I have a lot of old stamps that I don't collect any more and I know that some people would buy them. I just can't make myself to put those stamps in order, set prices and all that.
Thanks for your reply.

I mentioned it to my family and they weren't remotely interested as they do not spend much time on the computer. Some of my friends were interested, but didn't want to put the work in as you only get a few cents and they were hoping to get a lot more. I understand that you don't get much, but a little is better than nothing right?

first time i made money online was a couple years ago playing games online. I only told my parents when I said I had paid my tuition and they wouldn't need to bend the budget to do it. they were quite surprised, but nothing more.
a strong relationship got me off the internet cash making system I was on, 24h in a day and people have to make choices. I got my time back and here I am trying new things again to see if I can join your success story :D
doesn't matter if you make $20 or $100 in a month, if you can't buy a house with it at least you can pay a bill or two or even buy something nice for you eventually.

I really like what you wrote specially this part
doesn't matter if you make $20 or $100 in a month, if you can't buy a house with it at least you can pay a bill or two or even buy something nice for you eventually. That's the way I see it too. Today I bough a t-shirt for 6 euros and that's around 10 dollars so if I made at least 10 bucks here wach month here I could by myself a t-shirt each month and I woldn't even feel it. It's not like I don't have t-shirts, I do, but it was just an example.
Thanks a lot for this comment

In my case, I haven't told most of my friends about earning online. I am looking for the best time to talk to them about these wonderful jobs online. I want to spoil them in the future and give them the step-by-step accounts how to make real money.

That's really nice of you. I think that my mistake was that to those friends I have told I've told too early when I didn't have any referrals and when I didn't know which program was paying and which one wasn't. So maybe if I did the same you'll do maybe I wouldn't have gotten that negative answer from most of them.
My mother is my best referral and with her help I reach each payment in twice less time then it would take me to reach it without her. The only problem is that now when I have reached the at at least 20 sites I have to wait to see which ones will pay me and which ones won't and that's honestly the hardest part.Although I saw that people get little more interested when I say that I got paid but a certain site, but when I tell them that it took me 2 months to reach the payment, those 10 bucks, the interest vanishes.

Well I don't find this earning difficult at all but some people calculate the time I invest in it and the money I get so they consider it not worth it. They like the idea of making money by writing but they'd like to make at least 10 buks per hour, and then they'd consider it something worth of doing. I see earnings online as something extra, while my sister wacthes tv, while my dad sleeps on the sofa I make a few extra bucks and hopefully with time I will invest that money and get little bit more money back. I don't expect to earn thousands of thausands of dollars but few houndred a months would be great (who am I kidding? Just 100 a month would be awesome)

Hi,i'd rather be on here talking to interesting people and possibly making a little extra cash that I would be sitting playing games online which costs me money! At least I don't feel that being on here has been a waste of time. Most of my friend and family are very sceptical about earning online.

I agree with you I'd rather be on here talking to interesting people and possibly making a little extra cash that I would be sitting playing games online which costs me money. Yesterday I was watching this show online with a friend and it was such a stupid show but he wanted to watch and I was thinking, 'Such a wasted 45 minutes, I could have earned a few cents on myLot in these 45 minutes' I know its little bit extreme but if I already spend my time online I prefer getting paid for it...specially if I am not doing any reserch or I don't study.

The thing is people don't believe this sort of thing can make money. They think that all these are SCAM until you show them the proof.
Then they got jealous over you 'cos you prove them wrong. It just hurt their ego.I dun know why but when the people we know make more money than us,we use to feel jealous.Maybe it is just nature since we think that we are better than people that we know.

That's what I think too, nothing wrong if we try! even if some of the sites don't pay me and some of the time is just wasted I prefer trying and fail than not even try, specially because it's never easy to earn money so every cent earend is more than welcome.

Hello dear lorelai. I love the idea of making some money online and it is fun for me though the money is not much, but many a little makes a mickle. So long as we are persistent in it with a great passion, we will be able to make it.
In fact, I have told my friends and my family about it and they do not have any objection at all. When I tell them my family about the money that I have already made each month, they feel proud of me for that though it is some fun money, yet the time I spend online is of great value as I have not made some extra money, I have also made many good friends like you.
I hope that this friend of yours will change her mind and join us in this big family of mylot. Thank you for your discussion that interests me and take care.

I am cautious when I tell friends and family about earning money online. But from time to time I ask them something like if they think that using coupons to save 5 cents or 10 cents is worthwhile. If they agree that saving 25 cents or more a day with coupons is a good idea, then I tell them they could easily earn that much or more a day without spending any money.
Some friends and relatives are not at all interested in the possibility of earning online and so I don't push it. But if they are clearly open to earning a small amount a day for a little effort, then I talk to them about how to maybe earn more. Like maybe a dollar a day. Then maybe a few dollars a day.
Earning online is such a good idea because it can be done by anybody with a computer and Internet connection. No need to even leave the house, drive anywhere, or invest a large sum of money. But some people would rather just be entertained by their electronic devices while their bills keep growing.

My sweetheart is totally for it and supports me in everything that I do. :) He'll be my first referral more often than not. My parents are fine with it as long as I don't give out any crucial data like my SSN, which I'm wary about doing even in paper applications, so I like to think I take very good care of myself. All in all, earning money online makes me feel awesome because I purchased this laptop not too long ago and in a way, it's earning its keep! :D Have an awesome day!

Well, other than my aunt and cousins out West, I'm the only one in my family or even my ex's family, who has the Internet. I'm trying to make some money, but as far as having enough money to live, it doesn't compare at all to a job, which I really need in order to pay rent, etc. But, also, the pay we receive compared to the number of hours we put into it would mean we'd have to stay awake 24/7 in order to pull some serious money in. They'd never understand why I bother.
For the time being, though, I'm enjoying myself and have finally reached a payout plateau and will have a little bit of money for gas in the car (a definite necessity), so I'll enjoy the bonus while I get it. I only wish I could work for a living wage doing what I enjoy here.

And it's not that people knock on our door asking us to work for them...I mean, it is difficult to find a good job so every extra dollar one can make beside the money he/she earns from his/her job is more than welcome. For now I am still re-investing everything I get, hoping that in near future I could earn at least $100 each month and not every once in a while.

Hi lorelai,
The only people that know I am trying to get some extra cash off then et are my dad and my best friend, Rodney. I told Rodney I'd update him on my progress at the end of the month. I could be doing better, I need to teach myself some self discipline if I want to do this.
My dad is a skeptic, he says he won't believe it till he sees a check in hands or the money in the bank. He doesn't mean I shouldn't do it when he says that though cause he said every little bit helps. But I sorta laughed when I told him I earned over $20bucks here on mylot and he looked at me like..."Yeah, show me the money and I'll believe they really pay." before he actually mentioned seeing for real. But you know, many of my friends won't come on mylot to earn a few cents a day, even though it adds up at the end of the month. I do it in my spare time and I am going to use my money to get stuff I want or to just put in my high interest savings account. I don't know if Rodney would consider doing it if I get a good earning program. But he is my best friend so it was easy to tell him. He was very open to the idea as well...

The earnings are calculated once per day and you can see on the left under your avatar how much have you earned. This a a great site but it is more for fun and making friends than for money earning. i mean you will earn some money but it won't be a lot...to earn $100 here you would have to write for at least 5-10 hours every day her, but your earnings also depend on how interesting is what you write. You can submit as many discussions as you like and you are going to be paid if you reach the payment, you can set it at 10, 25, 50 or 100 bucks I think and you will get paid at the middle of the next month if you reach payment by the end of the previous month.
