What the different between potato and rice?

Because of the rice crisis my country has starting to change our main food from rice to potato, can you change your main food to other??

I had to change from bread to potatoes because potatoes were just so much healthier. In our country, it's not uncommon to use potatoes instead of bread, so it wasn't hard. It was just as starchy. I think you can use it instead of rice and even put many of the same toppings on it.

I love rice, but I can totally live without it. I can replace it with bread, corn or potato. I really have no problem with it. In fact, I was in a riceless diet for a couple of years and I've survived.

Potatoes contain every nutrient, vitamin and mineral needed by man. Rice does not all the best urban

I Still Prefer rice, but if its price go on soaring like gasoline then maybe i will consider other alternatives...

Ilove rice but everyone else in my house loves potatoes so even when i cook rice i still may end up making potatos!
