Of course I don't mean that literally! Being a cannibal is only the last resort if you are stranded on a no man's island. If you can read this discussion, chances are that you are safety tucked somewhere. :P Let's look at this figuratively. What kind of facial expression do you wear when you are around children? I know people who put on a black face. I know some who can't wait to pinch the kids. I know others who wear a genuine smile... what kind of person are you when you are around children? Do you like children? Do you enjoy playing with them? Or you just can't wait to eat them for breakfast?

i have to admit that i'm not really a fan of children especially those around the age group 3-7. i do love those small kids who're like a few months old. i don't really play with kids and i also don't really like it if they come over to my place. yea i'm really bad i know but i can't help it. thus my son goes at a particular time to play outside. gives him some space also and gets a chance to be with his friends.

I get by with an 'espresso' real strong black, no sugar for breakfast and I'm certainly not hungry at that time of day - and meat would be a turnoff I love children. Even the ones that stamp their feet and cry or scream to get want they want as I feel it's not them I should scold but their parents. I tend to mak a face in that case not at the kids but their mum and dad who are not doing a good job, in my oinion, of telling them how it is. I tend to not 'pounce' on children, especially the shy ones, I play indifference and then it's them who come to see 'that lady' and they get interested in me and off we go like a house on fire. Last summer (and I will be repeating the experince again next month) I was baby-sitter for two weeks at the seaside for a boy of just over three. I met him on the Sunday and his parents left him with me from the day after - we got on really well. He knew by my facial expressions how far he could 'push' things with me even though I am not his mom. When it gets to teatime I have more appetite - but then dairy products take the lead

Literally, I become a kid myself when I am with children. They are fun to hang around with. I crawl, make faces, fight, do everything that takes to be a child. Having said this, it's easier for me since I am not a mother, whose role has to be quite different when situation demands. My sister snaps at me for pampering my nieces, she always has to balance it out and become a unlikeable mom. Poor sis.

im usually in a smiling mood..it really helps during breakfast time since children had the tendency to eat slow and you need some cajoling to make them eat plus the smile thing..

I'm the mother of three, one is in heaven. I love babies, seeing them in stores etc. I work in retail and I see many children. There are some that I'd like to paddle(LOL). It's a shame that some of these children that I encounter on my job don't have any manners, look like they're terrified of their parents, are screamers that the parents just totaly ignore. I think I'd like to eat the parents of these children because they just are not parenting up to snuff.

For the most part I try to smile around children. This past weekend though I met a child that was a little terror to everyone around. I found that I couldn't smile when he was around if I had wanted to. We were on the fishing pier and I would almost swear there were at least 5 of the same kid. I would set my pole down and turn and bump into him, look again and he has something from my tackle box. The bad thing was that his parents watched him the whole time. Now that I have vented though, yes normally I like children and enjoy them being around...but there is that exception.

I went on a tour boat in a little canal once. There was a very spoiled child along with his parents. All he did for the whole trip was to mock the young driver/guide. My sister-in-law and I were contemplating each grabbing an ankle and dragging him along behind upside down for a while just to get him to hush. By then he would have been too soggy to eat.

GEEZ, sounds like a really awful kid! Perhaps he was just throwing tantrums because daddy refused to give him sweet.

I thought maybe he was doing it not because he didn't get what he wanted but because he got pretty much everything he wanted. Those tend to be worse to me cause they seem to think that have a right to everything around them. Though I didn't think about eating him myself, since I was fishing for sharks, I did entertain other "main courses" of action that involved him.

Long time no see my friend. Good to see you on here again. No, I become like a child again when I am around children, and want to get out there and play with them. Swing on a Swing with them, etc. Just to be able to associate with them, and let them know I care, and Love them is what counts most. People that do not respect kids have forgotten what is was like to be a kid themselves.

ANyway, I just love being with the kids and I prefer hanging with them than to my friends who always complain about life!

I love children if they have manners! lol I babysat for years before I had children. For some reason, they are always attracted to me. To be honest, babies are not my thing. Mine were, of course. But if it's other peoples, I prefer them two and over. lol I love them when they are all ready to learn and talk and play. Much more interesting than babies!

I like children a lot specially if they are polite and not spoled brats. Sometimes when I pass by a small child I just can't not to smile, maybe it looks silly when people see me in the steet smiling to a small baby but I really can't help myself. i have always liked children, they bring special joy and happiness.

Eek, I think I've seen Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory three times over this past weekend, so the phrase that immediately popped into my mind was: "Everything in this room is eatable! I'm eatable! But that is called "cannibalism," and is in fact frowned upon by most societies." I love children and hope to work with them as a speech language pathologist after I finish grad school. I am slated to work two jobs this fall, one at a community center daycare and another at a daycare on campus for children of faculty here. I'm very happy at my future prospects and hope to have children of my own some day as well.

I love childrens. Now I'm not a mother so I can say like that without any hesitate. However, what will happen if I have my child? I don't know exactly. When I was young, I was really a kind of burden for my mum. Because I just like eatting and playing with friends. Messing up my clothes immediately if I just go out. My mum is kind. But she was tired after working and then taking care of a naughty child like me is indeed a nightmare at that time. Surely be a mother is difficult. And be a kind and patient mother is more difficult!

I am one of those people who have a naturally somber face. I have to work hard at lightening it up or else people will think I am mad all of the time. If I am extra tired I have a hard time being the person on the outside that I am on the inside. I am taking steps to correct that tiredness. Sometimes I am very ornery and smile at things kids do that their parents absolutely hate. I can be happy they are not mine, but are mischievous.

No i don't want to eat my children for breakfast. However when the first thing i hear when i wake up is them fighting and bickering i am sure would like to hang them on a hook in the closet until they can get-along. And yes i am sure they can tell that from the look on my face!

Yes, in the closet with just enough space that when they kicked they couldn't reach each other (now wouldn't that be torture for the little darlings)also a door that i could close and not hear them!- Just so no one gets upset-I wouldn't actually do this it is just a pleasent daydream when they are stomping on my last nerve!

I really like children and love to be with my children. They do at times tend to make me crazy when they are bickering like little hens. Or I guess I should say roosters since they are all boys. But honestly, they are great as long as they are not picking at each other because someone touched my stuff, that's my clothes, that's my video game, I'm playing the Wii go do something else. Need I go on or do you get the point? I do love them but hate the nit picking. I guess that's what I get for having a 12, 10, and 4 year old. All the time I was growing up my mother would tell my brother, "I hope you have children just like you when you grow up" who knew that it would bounce off of him and hit me?! I tell her all the time that it's her fault my boys fight like girls.
