Where to host a forum?

Hello everybody, I want to start a forum and I don't know where to host it... What host company do you recommend?

I would recommend freehostia.com, it is good and free and reliable.

Man a free host it's not indicated ..free hostia work very slow, and you have plenty of down time..A pay host it's more reliable, you have garanty for your website. And even in free host, it's more companies who are far better then free hostia. Weebhost it's a good exemple.

I know this is 2 months old but hopefully you found somewhere good.
First i DO NOT, DO NOT recommend godaddy. I had a client i was working on his sites which were hosted at godaddy. It has got to be the worst control panel, it just doesn't have the features that others have.
If you have found a place i recommend, redwhitehost.com Its cheap and reliable. They give you real control panel software. Cpanel, fantastico, everything you will ever need.
You can install a forum on your site in 2 mins with their fantastico.
If you have another questions i will try to answer them.

I second that. I bought my .com at godaddy, and decided I'd rather sell the thing than deal with those people again. It was horrible. The only thing they want is your money. Not your happiness as a customer.
I use .mac servers.
I have the forum ready to go; but it's not live yet until a release of something in commercial retail. I love them. You pay a price for it; but I was a complete newbie when I started, and they are really good at customer service.

Well you can try phpBB. go to www.phpbb.com (www.freeforums.org). It offers excellent control on your forums and you can ever try it out. For a fee, of course, you can have extra features on your forum. Needless to say, it's an excellent host for bulletin boards/forums. Good luck. :)

To build a forum you can use phpbb to make a forum. Buy Hosting on Good Hosting Service PRovider and use fantastico to make a phpbb forum.

i recomand you the hosting solution i\ve have for my website, and that is www.enhoster.org . They are very nice people, they helped me with the instalation and even protect me from some stupid kids who flood my website for fun. damm ..This kids today.
Anyway i recoment only what i use, so i guaranti 100 percent the seriosity of this company. Good luck whith your forum. BTW, what do you want to with him?
