I also have tried many linux distributions but i use xp. xp is easy to use. Linux needs many softwares which we need to download.

well its not that.... actually for me XP uses so many s/w to function properly.... like the player itself isn't nice... i had to install foobar2000 for music and VLC for videos... you must have used ubuntu... yeah that requires initial d/w of some addons!! the only disadvantage of linux is... that my net client functions with IE :P

hmm.... i'd say backtrack is the one ;) it has 24 audio codecs and similar no. of video codecs... it even comes with various tools like forensic tools and many more... plus it takes very low configurations

Well, I use XP but would use Linux if only there was sufficient drivers and if I could run all the applications I use. I like, the stability and reliability of Linux all the best urban

Well as I said it is more than a matter of configuration, Memorymap for example won't, I understand, run on Linux. all the best urban

This is an old thought that linux is not user friendly. but I believe Ubuntu is very user friendly distribution. Its package manager installs almost every software for you with same ease as windows do. Its online community support is also tremendous.
