How often do you read the Bible?

I am ashamed to say that I don't read the Bible near as much as I should. It is my goal to start reading it daily. Did you know that the Bible is the least read book in Amercia? That is really sad. If people would read it daily and follow it the world would be a much better place.

I read bible 3 times a day.I like to read the bible. That's how grow is in Christ. We need to read the bible and study.Because it's coming to a time that they are going to take our bibles away,so we need to know the verses.

I don't normally read the Bible daily, but I've been reading it more often lately.

If someone derives some benefit from reading the bible then so be it. I am sure there are better ways to find God than reading the bible. I am often conflicted by bible-readers who are so intolerant and would rain hell-fire and damnation on their hapless fellow humans. I would expect them to be a little bit more mellow and understanding being such bible readers and all. Thank goodness God is not like them at all otherwise all of us would perish in an instant.

I read daily.. but on the days I'm on the go, I download my daily reading to my iPod and listen to it while I do my chores. This is a much easier way to keep getting the Word, and I find that I actually retain more because I listen to it over and over.

You are so right. I try to read at least one chapter in the Bible everyday. When I miss reading it, I can tell a difference in my life that day. We definitely need God's work in our lives.

I read my Bible ever day. I do this the first thing of the morning to "Jumpstart" my day! I think it is very important for us to read the Bible and commit it to our hearts and minds. It gives us fuel to live through the day. It is a great habit to start.

I dont read it as much as I should either but I do get to lsiten to it on Ipod at work when ever I want. I have to say listening to it brings alot more understanding to me than trying to read it. I woudl advise everyoen to try it

Not too often, but I do read the bible. There was a time I planned to read it cover to cover, starting with genesis. I haven't finished it but can't remember where did I stopped. The old testament is nice to read since it's like a continous story and people in those times were really fascinating, and those were the times where God would really make His presence felt by the mortals. New testament on the other hand is full of Christ's wisdom and passion to mankind. But once you read one of the gospels, the rest are almost the same stories. Except for the revealation and the apostle Paul's writings. Revelation is the part of the new testament that fascinates me.

For the past few months now, I had been reading the Bible consistently once a week. I have this Bible study group in which we agreed to read two chapters in a day, but I can't cope with it. I am still up for the challenge to do a reading of two chapters a day. Yeah, I understand you. In America, the Bible really is usually the last book to be read. But for the Christian community, it is the first and will always be read book. Reading the word of God is so nourishing that it gives you enough strength to go through life's challeging roles. The words are so comforting that lift your mood into a good one. Take care =)

My children and I used to read the Bible and pray an hour before we started school each morning. I'm ashamed to say that we don't do it much anymore. I have noticed that things are harder for us since we don't. I know I have had a lot of excuses like, my mom has been sick, but I also know my life would go a lot smoother if I just out that time. All I know we can do is pray for each other and don't let the devil or ourselves beat us up over it and just try and get back into reading his word daily.
