What is the meaning of those starts & number?

you know, i'm a new comer here. I saw a star with some members profile Avatar. What is the meaning of those starts & number? is it any rank? how could i increase or get that star and number? could any one help me, finding out this?

I'm not sure about the star, but the number means the amount of posts you have on mylot.

You see that number in your name? the one in (), that is the current number of posts you've made. When it reached 100, you'll get a star which has a number in it. The number in the star denotes the reputation you've made on your posts. The highest is 10. They say the higher the reputation, the better chance of earning becuase it means you're posting quality posts. I'm not if this true though. Welcome to mylot buddy!
