Mine was Moon Mouse. A story about a little mouse that thought he ate the moon away when he snuck out one night and went into a cheese factory. He ate so much of a wheel of cheese that he was bloated and when he looked up in the sky most of the moon was gone. Another favorite of mine was The Sweet Smells of Christmas. It was a scratch and sniff book about Christmas and all the wonderful scents.

When I was old enough to read myself I loved the Hardy Boy mysteries and was ecstatic that the Hardy Boys ended up being dramatized on TV. It was the dumbest show ever but I loved it! LOL

I loved to read "Czech tales" by Jan Drda (sometimes "Czech fairy-tales". Actually, I still love this book. It is collection of fairy-tale-ish stories, with really colourful touch of rural mood where the fairy tales took place. One of my favorites from this book was Forgotten Devil, tale about devil "domesticated" by woman. Later it was dramatized as play "The sinful village of Dalskabaty or the Forgotten Devil. All the book is as well about times that are long past... I think that even in my childhood I was able to feel strong nostalgia :o)

Sounds wonderful. I love the fairy tales and especially when they're from a certain culture. Thanks for sharing!

"The Tawny Lion" or at least that is what I was told. I still have a copy of it too. I ran across it at a yard sale and bought it. I mean if it was my fav, it had to be good, right? As a teen I read all the ?"Nancy Drew" and "Hardy Boy's" adventures as well as all the Trixie Beldin books. I still like to read mysteries too!

This is hard for me to remember. When I was quite small, I liked a book that I believe was called, "The Pink Hotel." Strangely, I don't recall who it was written by. As a pre-teen and teen, I loved the Nancy Drew Mysteries and I see that they are again, gaining in popularity. That is wonderful. Also, "Little Women" was a favorite. PearlGrace

i used to like the Dr. Seuss book Go Dog Go. The dogs seemsed to be having so much fun at the end with the giant birthday cake and the party that I was really entranced by it. My ex husband was a big fan of Green Eggs and Ham.
