Yes i have when i went to Ireland to meet my partners family. It was a very long journey we were on the boat for 8 hours. But we did have a cabin were we could go and sleep which passsed some of the time. There was also a cinema and a childrens playroom on the boat.
We had about a couple of hours where it was rough and you had to hold on when you were walking around the boat. But that didn't last long after that it was smooth.

I have fear of water, even though I'm a Pisces. When we go on a trip from a travel agency, there is always a boat ride included. I have survived ferries, paddle-wheelers, "ducks", et al. I found that the bigger the boat, the less trouble. These were on rivers. My husband holds my hands if I get petrified. As long as I don't look down at the murky water, I am OK. In 3 weeks, we will be going on "Maid of the Mist" on Niagara Lake. Next year, I'd like to try an ocean liner.

Been traveling by boat many many times in my life cream! The shortest trip that I had took 45 minutes and the longest was 24 hours. It's cool and exciting. Nice to meet new people while waiting, enjoy the beauty of ocean with nothing to be seen except all water..LOL, but when the waves are too big, pretty scary, I used to lie down in the bed and cover my eyes!

I have traveled by boat many times. From my college on the River Thames I went on a trip for a week on a boat up to Suffolk. It was a demanding journey with night watches and planned activies. We had one cabbin and it was quite cramped. Only cold water was available for washing.
When I lived in Kent I used to regularly pop over to France for a day and short breaks. I loved going on the hoverspeed, a super fast ferry. I didn't enjoy going on the slower ferries as much.
I went to one of the Whitsunday Islands in Australia for a day. Whilst there I did some parasailing, that is riding below by a balloon being pulled by a boat. Wow! I missed the ferry back to Shute Harbor so one of the employees gave me a lift back in his boat. It was a small boat and it went really fast so it was quite a delightful ride.
Another time I missed a ferry was when I arrived in the Channel Islands because it took ages to get my dog off the ferry. Luckily we were given a ride in a small boat that normally would have costs loads more than the normal cost of the ferry. The sea was rough and we got knocked off our seats on to the floor.
I remember an incredibly rough crossing to Ireland when the high speed ferry was going incredibly slowly. It was such an awful journey and like many other passengers I was sick. When I arrived all sailings were canceled. I spent a night in Dublin and came home the next day.
I like traveling by boat in calm weather but not in rough seas because it makes me sea sick. Happy sailing.

I went on a boat some years ago between PEI and Nova Scotia. It was a nice boat with food vendors on it and everything, but I was feeling rather sea sick.

i had traveled once. I was only 9 years old then, and I don't like it since at that time I knew I have seasickness.

I have travelled by boat over 1000 times and it rules everything else! you are so close to the water it is feeling that you are speeding over 100mph while u only is abaut 25 knots! i have just bought myself a small boat with 15 horsepower and thats cool it is only ten feets long and jumps in the water!!! (i can swimm and i live in norway)

The longest time I've been on a boat is less than 3 hours. The first time was quite strange because I have motion sickness, but I have learned to just sway with the waves so that I won't get dizzy. Now, I enjoy travelling by boat and visiting islands. I like it because of the fresh sea air and because I see lots of fishes, dolphins and even the occasional shark. Maybe someday I can also try going on a cruise.

It is fun to travel by boat. Since our country is made up of several islands, there are places where we travel by boat- A luxury liner or just a small one or a ferry boat. It is a lot of fun and you will be able to appreciate life in the sea.

I did travel by a motor-boat to an island off the coast once, and I have promised myself that I will never do it again. That was the most terrifying experience when the boat was bumping and bumping over the high waves. I thought we were going to be gone ! Never , again !

Hi cream97! Yes, I did a few years ago with my hubby. We did island hopping here in our country and the small islands are very beautiful, more like a paradise. Although I am a little scared riding on a boat but I felt safe somehow because the people we are with are experienced divers/swimmers.
Take Care and God Bless! Celebrate life!
