Ok everyone that uses eBay needs to be careful, many are not aware that stealing mail is a CRIME.
I am going to have to go to the Post Office in the Morning to file a Federal Crime Report since the item I mailed to my buyer never got to her house becuase someone put another address on her envelope?
The question is how did the person know she was mailing payment for an ebay auction and how did they get their hands on the envelope if she mailed it from her house?
So i have taken photos pf the envelope and printed done the stuff she sent me saying she never put that return address there and I also told her she needed to go and file a complaint at her local post office.
So just BEWARE of selling things from ebay... this is the first time this has every happened to me and I have been selling on ebay since 2003.

Maybe it's best to go through paypal and ebay checkout as there are so many scams going on. Only ship to a verified address on their ebay account. This would make it harder as I shipped to a different address for a woman who bought an item for her son who was out on a job and needed it there. It's taking a chance to do this though.

I have sold on Ebay for 7 years and I have never heard of this happening. That is truly weird!

Well I hope you get it sorted. I have never heard of that happening before.
There are always some people it seems who manage to defraud in some way no matter what safety measures are in place.
Just shows how careful we need to be when buying/selling things through Ebay.

This is really odd. So someone that was sending YOU mail, changed the return mail addy? What's the point of doing that? so that you'd mail a package to them, instead of the ebay addy on file? How did they know it was a payment, maybe look thru the envelope? This is really weird!

This is interesting to me because I have never had a problem until just recently. A lady bought something from me and then emailed me saying she never receieved the item. I had used stamps.com to print my label so they tracked the package. The address she had listed is where I sent the package but the post office said it was undeliverable and rerouted the package and redelivered the package a number of times in 15 days then took it to their facility for pickup. So i emailed her and told her what i had been told and have not heard from her since. I think she got mad because she made her own mistake and then try to put it on me. I also reported it to ebay incase she tried to report me to them for not delivering her merchandise.

Wow! That is the most wrong thing I've ever heard. It almost makes me wonder if the buyer had something to do with it. How different was the address on the envelope to hers? A neighbor? Someone cities away? I hope the package is recovered!
