Mom delivers own baby

With my fourth child we were living on a military base. At 1am in the morning I went in and they hooked me up to a machine and told me I was not having contractions, I fought and said dammit I had 3 already I know what contractions are. The doctor gave me a pill and said it would help me calm down, him being the doctor of course I trusted him. All the way home I had contractions they were about 2 minutes apart. I got home and laid down, although I remember getting up and going to the bathroom I thought I was dreaming. I opened my eyes I heard my husband getting the kids ready for school. I called for my husband and told him I felt like I had to push he ran to the phone and called an ambulance. My kind neighbor came over and got the kids off to school. Within minutes the ambulance arrived. Walked into my room and said ma'am walk over to the gurney. I looked and said lady if I get up this child is gonna fall out you figure out a way to get it in here. (she giggled) I was in pain I didnt find it too humerous. They begin the journey in the ambulance with my husband behind them, I look up at say ohhhh no! The ambulance driving looked at me and I said my water just broke this baby is coming. I have a history of the water breaking and the baby being right there. She looked at me and said ma'am just another 10 minutes, please do not have this baby I have never delivered one before. My eyes broaden and oh said OH snit you just made me feel really good. Well my friends needless to say I had my baby before we got to the hospital. My beautiful lil girl which I delivered. They opened the back doors to the amubulance and the emt was passed out. She later came to my room and apoligized, then said I dont think I was cut out for this work.. lol
