Do I have to go to bed now?

Yesterday I was dry, and then today something comes along that excites my curiosity. I haven't felt too well today. Once possible cause is the time I stay up to working on myLot. I say work, but it isn't really of course, but there is no such word as "funning" so working will have to do. My wife, who isn't a myLotter said that my hours here are so awful that she is minded to write to my myLot friends and ask them to send me to bed at 11pm GMT or it's equivalent where they live. Knowing some of my friends, I have no doubt that they would be happy to oblige. I am used to being told off. LOL. Do you have a time beyond which you will not stay on myLot, will grab Teddy, your jammies and head off to Bed?

I hate sleeping alone and since I have no choice but to do so for the next 4 days I can and probably will stay on the lot until the wee hours of the morning. It is 1:20 AM EST now.
But normally I am off the lot by 3 PM. Things to do, places to go, and all that sort of thing.

No packet as of yet but there was no post yesterday. I will be on the lookout.
And thank you...I have wanted to use the no post line since seeing the very first Harry Potter movie. rofl.

Go to bed.
You're starting to make sense and that's scaring me.

You go to bed when you're told, young man and don't argue with your wife. She knows what's best for you.
I try to go to bed before midnight because I have to get up early but very often it's later. Then I have to tell myself off for being silly.

Of course wives are always right. Now have an early night for a change.

My funning time usualy ends at midnight. That's when my virus scans start running and if I take my hands off the keyboard long enough to let them run, I fall asleep in my chair waiting to begin the funning again.
And you don't have to worry about me sending you to bed at 11pm GMT, because I'm so challenged at calculating time differences, that you'd be funning your little heart out all night before I got it figured! LOL

Then I think it is you who needs to go to bed my dear. You know when Cyn starts making sense one of two things have happened...you've gone completely off the deep end, or it is just past your bed time.

My lovely bed is indeed calling, but I've had a busy off site day and need to make my pennies today. My internet bill is due soon and I've a quota to reach here! LOL

Virus scans? You must have a PC Sparky. We Apple people don't have such problems - he says smugly. I cannot sleep in chairs etc, I have to be lying down. So no matter how tired I am, I stay awake. I don't like long haul flights for that reason. Except in First Class, the seats never recline sufficiently for me to sleep properly. I think that "funning" should be a proper word. Thanks Sparky. Night night.

My MyLotting tends to happen during the morning rather than the evening. I have to get up bright and early so take advantage of a bit of peace to type away. Then I pop on and off during the day as the mood takes me.
Although we have two computers, the laptop I use is the only one with a soundcard just now. I'm afraid that when I leave it for a moment in the evening to put the baby to bed I find that it's been hijacked to watch films on. Bah humbug. So I give up then & just read a book instead.
After a hard day my brain stops functioning anyway, so I'm not in any fit state to write anything anyone may care to read. Online Mahjong even defeats me some nights.

Online mahjong Greenmoo? I wouldn't know where to start. Are you running an opium den? I can see you sitting there in a smoky fug playing the game with oriental gentlemen, all of you in green wellies! LOL. I return all day and night long. It's the night bit that I need to cut down on. But that's when my North American friends come out to play. Still, I kept civilized hours last night. Have a good day.

She was going to chain me to the bed, but she thought that I'd enjoy I too much! She's gone to work. I meant to ask you if you kept goats yourselves. A friend of ours with a small holding in East Anglia does. Unfortunately the male half was killed working there one day, he fell through a barn roof - not that that has anything to do with goats. Your boots sound great. Several years ago our daughter was in a play where they all had to wear colourful wellingtons. She got a couple of pairs and her friends pinched them! Well "borrowed" them at any rate. Clearly they are what the well shod woman is wearing these days.

Well I must admit to being surprised to hear from you so early. I was imagining that Mrs P1ke would be keeping you chained to your bed in the morning if you won't lay down your mouse of an evening.
However, it's good to know that I'm not the only one here.
Now that opium den. If I'm running one, I'm keeping it very quiet. So quiet that there is absolutely no sign of the profits anywhere to be seen. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong?
Excellent vision though. Where did the green wellies come in? I'll have you know that mine are a very posh designer pair in baby blue with daisies all over. Sadly they leak, but you can't have everything and keeping up appearances around here is everything. You wouldn't want the neighbour's goats to get the wrong impression.

Lol,cute. I am on and off throughout the day so there is no time period for when I am on. My husband wished everyone would send me to bed at 9-9:30 p.m. since that is the time he goes to bed but I stay on mylot up to sometimes 6-7 A.M. it all just depends on how I feel and how much I still have to go to finish answering those emails from mylot in my inbox.Your wife just wants to snuggle down with you in bed I am sure she misses your presence there. I am wondering if Mylot memebers love life has changed alot for those who do stay on late into the night..Ifthey can call homemakers Home Ec Engineers then I am sure we can call what we do here Mylot response engineers or Mylot correspondence engineers..strange I know but I guess we can also call oit funology engineer since we do have some fun here.

I'm sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. I do not feel well either. It is taking everything I got to sit here and type. My husband and I both work nights seven days per week and that can make a person very tired and not feel well alot. I really do not have a set time to be off from Mylot unless my brain is just so tired that I cannot even think anymore. Then I head to bed whether I have ate my supper or not.

I am not a religious man Steph, but isn't there something abut a day of rest? Working seven nights a week must be exhausting. Today I have done six hours of driving in torrential rain and once I have finished looking at my responses I am off to bed. My body aches with tiredness.

I get off of Mylot usually when I get tired at night. There is noone to really force me off unless i'm doing the nasty or something. :) I don't get booted off by anyone unless it's for good reason.

Interestingly enough, I have weeks of time when I don't go on MyLot at all because my boyfriend will visit my house or I'll visit his. We play video games, watch movies, go on trips together, but all our activities center on spending time with one another. It's only when he isn't around that I find the time to go on MyLot! :D But I'm glad to be here as well, being productive while he isn't around.
Please don't jeopardize your health for MyLot! :) The good people, from what I see, are around time and time again, so you don't have to miss out on anything. I love waking up and seeing what's different, too. :D Sleep comes first!

Thank you, that's sweet of you to say! :D I used to run in high school and I would've called myself WindBattered because of the 30-40 mph winds around here, but the wind was light on the day I decided on Whisked. :D I'm hoping to get 8 hours of sleep tonight! :)

pikefish I give up the ghost at midnight and fall into'bed then have to read to get sleepy again. lol. am still fighting'
these painful shingles so bed is the pits as it seems to
'hurt more at night so take some tylenol and finally do 'get to sleep. It really is more like funning than work isnt it, so wish we could coin a new word here. mylotting seems to help dull the nerve pain so much and also I just plain enjoy mylotting anyway.

Hello Piky duck, well well...its not run dry then???...im not a late night Mylotter,in fact im very rarely on there late at night..But as Mrs Pike says to you,its important to have all the rest and sleep you need....even if just to retain your beauty!!...if my slepp is cut short,im a vixen..I jest...but maybe a little cranky...im happy enough to twidle here for a while, then my staying power wanes ,and im off to surf new realms....and I havent got a teddy !!..but ive got a lovely gollywog..called Graham...

A small inspiration Ruby. Actually I've had three since posting that discussion. I long ago gave up on beauty sleep. "Just be grateful for the ugly mug that I have" sleep is more appropriate. I did get off to bed at a more sensible hour last night and felt better for it this morning. I shall try again tonight. I have along journey up to Hertfordshire tomorrow so will need my rest. Graham the Golliwog. I think that's lovely - unless you mean Mr Ruby. It which case what could be better?

All work and no play makes for a very dull fishy, and could we get this matter cleared up please?who is the boss, you or Mrs Pike? Im reckoning it the female fishy, but if you put cucumber slices on your eyes it will help the puffiness caused by all of the late nights.

Do you need to ask Ella. Mrs P1ke is the Boss. No doubt about it. There are a number of women on myLot that have some authority over me too, especially at bedtime. Chiefly Mummymo who is not afraid to set about me when the mood strikes her. I know my place and my knees have worn a groove in the floor from all the time I spend grovelling in front of her or some others I can think of!! Good job that I enjoy it!

If ever sleepy, then I would. But if not, then I might just logout to mylot and do other things to help me go to bed. I could read other articles posted or some news, watch some movies or listen to music while surfing the net.
Usually, I'd up late and wait till my eyes go heavy.

I don't have any set times. I just go to bed when I'm tired, which usually is pretty late. I don't have any specific time I go to bed even though I would really work on that sort of thing. I need to get a better schedule than I have now because I don't have one!

Well before myLot I was often in bed by 10pm but these days I try for 11pm but quite often it is midnight before I know it and I have to tell myself off too. I have been known to stay til the early hours when really on a roll and tonight will be late as winding down from getting home from work. I usually get told off from someone on here when it is too late anyway so that is when I tend to wind up and go to bed. We really must try to get our sleep though eh! Ellie :D
