It seems that most people do prefer fiction books. Perhaps it is because they allow an escape?

I like fiction. I just prefer fantasy over reality.

I like fiction, but I love non fiction as well.
James Rollins is my favorite fiction author...

I am a fiction person also. It is an escape. I don't read as much as I used to, maybe because I am happy enough with my life I don't need the escape. I do love historical romances the best though. They usually have a lot of actual facts and real history of the way things were done with a fantasy story to keep it entertaining.

Mostly fiction books. I like reading stories that were created out of author's fantasies or interpretations. But if I encountered a non-fictional book that looks interesting then I'll probably read it too. This largely depends on the book though or if it's about a person, that person should really be interesting.

I prefer fiction though I also read non-fiction. But when it comes to reading non-fiction, it takes a longer time for me to finish it than fiction. I find fiction more interesting.
