Do you think of the beast when you eat the meat?

Do the omnivores out there ever think of the creature they are tucking into when they're sitting at the table? I try to, but most of the time it's just food, and gets swallowed mindlessly. I was at a bonfire night last weekend, where there was lamb of the spit.
I thought about the lamb, and thought about the life he'd lived. He was one of the lucky ones - raised lovingly, by people who fully knew what his fate would be. He was a boy, not needed for the flock, but he lived a very good life, and was killed as gently as possible.
I wonder if my dogs think about the bird as they're working their way through the carcass they've just plucked from the sky?
I think people who eat meat should at least think respectfully about the creature they're eating. It's the least we can do.

Dear friend,
I never think of thinks like that as I am a vegeterain and moreover I also support others to a pure vegeterain. Anyhow I do avoid to kill any animals untils it is a threat. Also may be defencsive method. Still I hope the law revised and could save these innocent animals their lifes.
